Crowd for sat

Do you actually seriously believe that attending this home game first leg play off is the same as attending a cup final game at wembley?

It isn't to the majority of people, not even just to Sunderland fans, I'd put a large bet down that most football fans would put more effort into attending a wembley cup final game than a first leg play off home game.

This game may have a bigger consequence but that doesn't change whether someone sits at home watching it on Sky or not. We were last at Wembley 5 years ago. We were last at the SOL about 14 days ago.

However angry you want to be about that fact we aren't hitting 30k+, none of our cup games at home this season have had large crowds and a large number of our league games at home have failed to get 30K.

It's in the evening, on TV and people have to pay additional money. As I said however angry you want to get, it has a fairly obvious reason for why the numbers aren't that high.

It will be the lowest crowd of the season, lower than every league game.

No it won't, it'll be the highest non-league home game.

It'll be just slightly lower than most of our low league home games... because it's costing more and it's an evening game on Sky.

Well have a season ticket and done a couple of away games when gone to general sale, when havent gone to away games have bought game via SAFSEE........We are talking about fans who are openly saying they just cant be arsed to go because they think the team is crap, what kind of fan misses a promotion play off game in those circumstances?
But there's the problem you haven't gone to all the games, and I am sure there are good reasons. And I am NOT criticising your support btw. But I have a lot of time for those who are honest enough about the reason for not going.
Prediction time...we will play poorly, the football will be pedestrian, we will be shaky at the back, and we will draw 1-1. Ross will not not set us up to have a real go and the end result will be more or less the same turgid rubbish we have seen all season. I quite understand why people wouldn't go.

Are you going?

It's a league play-off. All appearance stats count towards the total for the league.

Be honest, after a double relegation what do you reckon your crowds would have been this season and what do you think you would get for a league 1 play off semi final on a Saturday evening when its on Sky? I suspect you would sell out the play offs but not sure what you would do in league games.

In exactly the same situation? Ashley gone and a new owner in with the fans interests at heart with a feelgood atmosphere around the club?

We'd average over 40K i reckon and we'd definitely sell out a play-off semi.

How many points for a win in a league game?

How many points for a win in a league play off game?

Exactly, thanks very much.

You play off to get promoted via the league system. It's a league game, stop twisting to justify why people aren't turning up.

Struggling to fill half your ground for the most important game of the season is laughable tbf. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for this place repeatedly touting yourselves as the best about.
