Two bad results and the toys are out of the pram in a season where we’ve had the club saved , reunited with fan base and break attendance records at this level.
Fast food throw away culture from the best fans in the land ???
It’s really poor and beyond fickle .

Two good showings v Pompey and a return to Wembley will see many fickle fans back onside . Sunderland wasnt built in a day and it will never be repaired with people on strike like this .

Eddie Brimson, a Watford thug, wrote in his book something along the lines of no one comes out of the woodwork like Sunderland, but we certainly know how to quickly disappear again. Whilst he was complimenting, it also suggested how fickle we can be.

I remember thinking he was wrong and how loyal we are , but this last week is showing his perception to be reality .

Cracking post

I really don't get this 'emarrassment' thing that people keep mentioning.

We've had excellent support this season, home and away, and we'll have a big crowd by League One standards on Saturday.

I'd have been much more interested if this had been the second leg against Charlton tbh, I'm really bored with Portsmouth.

We all know Portsmouth will come to cheat and bore us to death on Saturday ...
... and by the end we'll be no clearer.

It may be a vital game but I doubt it'll be too exciting tbh.

What if you can't go because you made other plans, thinking that they couldn't be so f***ing inept as to need to go through the play-offs ?

That's me tbh, my Uncle has had a big do lined up for his 30th anniversary for over a year so I was never going if we ended up playing on the Saturday. To those who say cancel or whatever, no f***ing chance. I basically owe everything I have to my Uncle, he taught me shit about cars and bikes before I was school age, bought me a grands worth of tools the next day after mine got robbed, loaned me the deposit for my first house and loaned / guaranteed me to set up my own business.
Truth be known we could be playing in the cup final in a couple of weeks and if he said he needed help on the day I would miss it for him, he's my f***ing hero, even more so than my own Dad, he treat me like his own from been a kid and even more so when my died when I was 24.

i'll be there but i can understand why some people have had enough. would rather they just say that though rather than hiding behind things like the ticket prices or kick off time etc..

Jack Ross and his negativity has much to answer for. i'll be amazed if we get to Wembley

Should never be embarrassed. The crowd that will be there probably wouldn't fit into any other ground in the lowest two divisions (and a fair few in the ones above). It's between two clubs at opposite ends of the country, there's a fair bit of fatigue palying each other again and disappointment in both camps that their club didn't go up automatically, it's live on TV, season ticket holders are a bit miffed cos they've got to pay £20/pay at all, people expected the season to be finished and planned other things. Lots of mitigating factors.
I seriously don't think we would sell more than 25k for Wembley

That's the biggest factor for me.

Bit pissed off with timing I had paid £120 for 2 tickets for the rugby final for my son and me at the fleepit up the road. No brainier it’s the play offs instead. I must admit I thought we would have over 40k at this one.

You're a shit fan in my opinion.

I understand that some people can't make it or can't afford it but if you're able to go and choosing not to cause you're annoyed at the ticket price or annoyed we didn't finish top two or whatever then you're a shit fan who isn't really supporting the team.

Ive been to one game only this season, the mags game and ive seen nothing to tempt me back full time whenever ive watched on the tele, we are shite man................
