Ched Evans

I don't care, ridiculous behaviour on the night, he is a lucky lad as far as I am concerned

There are hundreds of thousands of other strikers, just sign someone else
Young lad, drunk, I'm sure we would not be signing the same person, he never broke any laws tho

The OP is talking about footballing reasons to sign him and the best you can come up with is:
"well he hasn't been convicted of being a rapist".

You're not convincing me we should sign him mate, in fact quite the opposite.

Ched Evans record in the Championship over the last 10 years: 76 games, 13 goals = a goal every 5.84 games

Will Grigg’s record in the Championship: 50 games, 9 goals = a goal every 5.555 games

To me that doesn’t really suggest that either player is a Championship Standard player really. But Grigg’s L1 record is much better than Evans.
Hasn't exactly carried on that fine form though mate. I honestly think Ched would have been a better fit for us.

I don't give two shits if I'm not convincing you, I wasn't aware thats what I had to do, and if you read the full thread, I've wrote quite a bit more than that. And if you are a football fan, you really don't need me to convince you of Chef Evans football ability, he will be back in the championship in a year or two

He’s a league 1 plodder ffs

Not this shit from you again. He WASN'T PROVEN INNOCENT!

Are you his wife?

I'll repeat, via a link in response to your post of a fortnight ago on this same topic, the legal explanation of his acquittal.

If we'd bought Pitman in January

As for traumatic? My heart bleeds for this absolute c**k of a human being.

We've had enough absolute shitehawks associated with this club in recent years, and just when we appear to have a team we can relate to (I'll make no comment on their recent on-field exploits!) he'd attract the kind of headlines this club could do without.

He's not the only striker on the planet. We don't need this bastard.

You said,
"Because that’s it how our judicial system works – the jury were asked whether they could prove beyond reasonable doubt about his guilt. They were unable to."

So how does that work alongside the cornerstone of the judicial system, 'innocent until proven guilty'.

As he wasn't proven guilty does that mean he's innocent?

He was found guilty of one of the most difficult crimes to prove guilt on. He was later found not guilty beyond reasonable doubt. It's not the same as innocent.

We've all read about what happened that night. I think an element of common sense needs to be applied here.

What have I said that isn't applying common sense.

I was asking someone, who claims to know the law, to clarify something I didn't fully understand.

I'm not really sure why you've decided to jump in tbh.

That's what happens on a messageboard mate. Someone posts something and somebody else responds

I didn't say anything you said wasn't applying common sense.

It's all about opinions Perry, let's call it a hunce, a wild stab in the dark.

Think they're similar tbh not exactly in style, but neither have enough to step up and be a success IMO. Both lack that extra bit of of pace/ability and in Griggs case a bit of strength, both have proven beyond doubt they can do it at this level. For either to do it in the Championship it would need everything to come into place for them. At 30 for Evans and 27 for Grigg (28 by the time next season kicks off) it's unlikely to happen for either.

Ivan Toney should be the target. Quick, strong and a good finisher.

would have been a good buy in hindsight at the price earlier in the season, now would likely cost a lot more. doubt they'd have done business though, he was linked on loan IIRC.

Calm down mate.
It's a football message board.
