That was just damages against his former solicitors, i guess he will have recouped most of his costs from the first case too

You're not getting it, it's got fuck all to do with who is and who isn't guilty. It's the baggage and negativity that comes with it and the effect that can have on the club as a whole, that isn't worth it. don't call me an idiot you prick.

why? do innocent people normally get their costs back if they win on appeal? they do if its a miscarraige of justice thing..but not when they get acquited by normnal proceedure..

I don't honestly know, but the fact he's been awarded damages against his former solicitors because they did an incorrect job my guess would be he got it all back plus compo hence the 500k pay out

Laughable, the lad gets locked up and then cleared and some rather unsavoury things come to light. No club barring Chesterfield will touch him, there's a furore when Sheff United take him back despite him being a bit of a favourite there and then only Fleetwood take him on loan. He's linked with Sunderland in January and the press get hold of the negativity and there's outrage amongst many fans who don't want their club tarnished by his past and you say there's no baggage there.

and what of the second lot of lawyers...he got rid of the first lot..thats the 500k you mentiuoned..then he had to pay another lot..he missed three season of football..would have earned more than 500k in three seasons..much more..
