"BENITEZ IN DESPERATE 'COME AND GET ME' PLEA"

Rafa Benitez has made a shock call for a big club to rescue him from his Newcastle nightmare, the outsize Spaniard who won the Champions League at Liverpool nearly 15 years ago has struggled at the Toon, having suffered both relegation and repeated relegation battles despite considerable budgets made available from benevolent owner Sports Direct tycoon Mike Ashley who has had the club for sale longer than off the market. "Rafa the Gaffa" remains surprisingly popular with Newcastle fans, but recently stated that he wanted to manage a big club and compete in the Champions League again, spelling an exit from the Sports Direct Arena if he can somehow attract a suitable club, Rafa signalled the urgency of his situation by revealing he was close to signing a new contract with the Tyneside club, which would at least give him financial security but at the expense of his ambitions of a return to glory in the future.

I assume the Chronicle will have run a similar story...

In the last two seasons.

Brighton spent - £132m
Burnley spent - £64m
Newcastle spent - £78m

Brighton spent far more.

Burnley spent a little less and Dyche has also done a great job.

To only spend £78m as a newly promoted club across two seasons and have them mid table is a job well done.

I’m sure you’ll be right one day on something though. Keep plugging away.
I’m not one for trawling anything and I’m not that interested in figures tbh why only go back two years ?
Does that suit you ?
If you want to really look good go back to when the three managers took over their present clubs. When you do it might make you look even better, I don’t know and I don’t care but go on do it.
But remember we are comparing your favourite club to the mighty Burnley and Brighton.

Where's this from like?

What was it then?

Do you not know? You’ve quoted it often enough in the past.

I post on there less and don’t get involved as much

Of course you’re going to point to this thread to prove that isn’t the case, mind...

If you think that it’s similar to what you’ve been posting over recent months I’d suggest you don’t have much of a grasp on the English language.

I get 20m isn't a huge amount these days but it could have been spent much better.

The lad might come good yet but he doesn't look premier League quality as an attacking player
Looks like a slightly better Duncan to me

So basically you post on here constantly yet tell your mag chums that you don't , f***ing hell :lol::lol::lol::lol::oops::oops::oops::oops::oops:

I was told on here that Benitez bought a load of championship journeyman when they got promoted under him so can’t have been that impressive.
There you go again :lol::lol::lol::lol:

The last two years is how long the mags and Brighton have been back in premier.

Brighton have spent nearly double and are below the mags.

Benitez has done a good job. Get over it, accept it and move on.

If only our manager with the unprecedented league 1 budget could have done a good job ey.
