Have they done that?

done what?

Seems they think because we got beat we’re bitter and making stuff up. Well in the last few years we have been experts in getting beat, I've never heard of such wide spread bother attached to away fans throwing objects.

No chance they’ll do that, most likely just move the away fans after next season.

if they do that then its biting your nose off to spite your face. the away fans have been there for 8 (?) years, including loads of derbies, leeds, millwall etc.. its typical modern day kneejerk reactions.

Be different at the Coliseum....your fans will be on ya big day out....
There’s an element of that, but the game itself is such that it’s more of a duty than a day out. Anyway, I look forward to seeing all you lovely people tomorrow!

if you ave aims of getting back the Premier League you'll have to move them anyway

I don’t see why people think it will be the same tomorrow. Our tickets sold out in a day to core support, not peripheral idiots who turned up at Wembley.

A point illustrated by our Monday game with Coventry when they brought just over 1,000. Good, friendly atmosphere and no bother outside the ground.

Hopefully you're right. The Wembley ticketing process you had meant that a lot who rarely go will have got tickets from season card holders. Many of them will have been there just for the piss up and there probably was a higher percentage of wankers than you'd get for a normal away game. This one, like you say, will be sold out to season card holders and I imagine most will be very much concerned with the football first and foremost, it's a big game for us but even bigger for you with it still being in your hands. Personally I've never had any bother with Portsmouth fans and don't think there'll be any tomorrow, might be one or two pissed up idiots (it is a long trip after all) but certainly don't expect anything on the scale of Coventry

Not necessarily, the mags haven't moved theirs and don't seem to be intending to. If the police agree they are better up there then they can stay. Whether they would agree is open to debate, but it's not cut and dried that PL = away fans in lower bowl

they've never had them pitch side since d one the stands and say they can';t because of safety

you have had them there so there no reason you could give why they can't just go back to how it was

Nee reports in the echo about anyone been charged or owt.

The club are liable regardless
Following recent incidents any further injury will be viewed as negligent
Blatant attention seeking  that tired old trope

The club aren't liable at at all, the people throwing missiles would be liable.

Transport for London aren't liable for assaults on the tube.

Horrible Coventry, didnt they nick the culture of capital off us aswell? And they were one of the teams that cheated to get us relegated years ago when Jimmy Hill delayed the kick off

Ffs liable
What exactly for? For having safety certificates, stewards in place, police in place?

How? The club have took reasonable precautions by supplying extra stewards and moving away fans tree rows back? As they have took reasobable precautions then they will not be held liable..
Of course they won't. Should we barracade the away fans in with plastic sheeting?

I absolutely hope that no fans are hurt and I hope the precautions taken are sufficient.
Should they not be.... well, I don't even want to go there.

Please tell me how anyone could reasonably prevent someone from throwing a coin if they were determined to do so? The fact is that it rarely happens and the extra precautions will make it less likely to happen and more likely of people being caught. However, there is no way on earth that anyone but the perpetrator should be held accountable..

I'm not saying the people throwing stuff aren't responsible.
I'm saying the club are liable and should the precautions taken not be sufficient also negligent.

Some can't wait to slag the club off. How are they liable? People jump off bridges in the UK on a regular basis. Do they all have massive barriers to prevent it as the council would be liable otherwise? Of course not. It is expected that REASONABLE precautions are taken. They are. Not a single other club in the professional game puts barriers up in front of away fans. Get a grip.
