Portsmouth at home

Had corporate booked for ages for this one, treating the parents. Couldnt have picked a better game really although I was kind of anticipating us lifting the trophy after the game :lol:

We will beat Portsmouth. Nailed on. They aren’t very good. They have played shit teams for weeks and yesterday they were extremely lucky. It belies their true form. They are poor, shit to watch, and do t have anything to be afraid of. 3-0 and a night like Everton to stay in prem.....

Better than yesterday. You’re rank. I’ve seen a whole game of yours about 7-8 times this year and am amazed you are up there. You’re a mid table outfit. You’re gonna get a shock. You won’t be able to play at ours and going back empty handed which will end your automatic promotion hopes. You won’t win play offs either.

“Kenny knows how to get out of this league”.....is that the same Kenny who was clueless five weeks ago?
That’s a rank mid table side who have won six in a row, including a game yesterday which most people on here said would go against us. We weren’t great at Burton, but never looked like losing.

Like the first half of the season we are back to getting it done and that’s all that matters.

Anything could happen yet, but i disagree about Burton - they easily deserved to win and you were lucky

What were you watching through, rose tinted spectacles?

It was a good practice yesterday. Doncaster tried exactly the same tactics at HT as Portsmouth did at Wembley. Expect more of the same next week.

You didn’t watch the same game I did if you thought you never looked like losing. You couldn’t get out of your own half for 30 minutes of the second half. 3 or 4-1 would have flattered you. You’re industrial at best. Easily the worst side in the top five IMO.

5 of your six were against shit teams. And yesterday was a fluke.

I’ll go for 3-0 against them at the SoL. They won’t handle playing in front of 40,000. And before you say Wembley, half of them were your lot...

We massively let you off the hook that day. Should have been out of sight at HT. We won’t make the same mistake.

Work with a Pompey ST holder. He’s s good lad and says the same. Would take a point at SoL and not confident at all.

We need the place rocking because you can guarantee they’ll be noisy with that play up Pompey bollocks. The town was bouncing yesterday pre match so you could tell it was going to be a good atmosphere so hopefully it’ll be more of the same next week.

Pity sky couldn't change the kick off time again have our game on the red button

Place would be rocking like yesterday

I think we have a team capable of beating Portsmouth.
It will inevitably be a close encounter: just like the last two.
They are not better than us, so we have every chance.
I watched their game against burton yesterday and I fully agree. We’ve got nothing to fear from them, they were very fortunate yesterday.

Usually hate Sky sticking their beak in but if they do have to then Saturday 5:15 is always the best, but there’s nowt stopping people going out a bit earlier if that’s what helps them create more racket in the ground.

Very little between the sides as evidenced by the two games (and league table)

Could be who copes with the occasion/pressure best.

I'd like to think that with McGeady back and firing, plus Wyke playing really well- we have enough this time. Maguire being an option could be decisive too.

Got to get past P'boro first though.
