Has anyone wanked themselves into a stupor about amortisation yet?

Because that’s when he really gets going

No mate I prefer watching Spurs home and away, or having a drink and a good time with Sunderland boy Mickey Hazard just like yesterday.

Got to love how so many on here continuously argue with me about anything regarding Spurs that are official facts and up to date, I have forgotten more about Tottenham Hotspur than anyone on here knows about them ffs, but some spend about 30 seconds on google then try to tell me that I am wrong.

See below mate ........ 2017/18

Club Statement – New Stadium and Financial Update

Are you on a wind up? Why are you quoting the same update back to me.
The 2018 annual report isn't out yet, which isn't surprising as the last one was published last April. One would expect the new one will be soon.

Here you go. You can see how much of that 'profit from operations before football trading, depreciation, interest, tax and exceptional items' the Group retained last year. It's literally on page 1 and again in a pretty table on page 2: https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/media/10293/tottenham-hotspur-limited-300617-annual-report-2017.pdf

Way I read it profit before all that was 117m, true profit was 41m

so if they keep the same ratio then the new profit will in reality be 50m odd

spurs tickets must be cheap because they have more people trying to buy them than there are tickets..therefore the price is cheap..#safc couldnt fill their stadium when two divisions higher..therefore the tickets were too expensive..
so spurs have tickets priced so cheaply 90k people want them and they havent got 90k to sell.
ours priced so expenjsively we have 40k ish to sell, but dont sell them, so our price is wrong.

We’ve sold 22k tickets without hardly winning a game for 6 years man, off the back of being relegated twice. This season will be probably, our lowest finish in our history.

It’s no as easy to say they’re cheap, they’re expensive. Do you think spurs could charge that if they had the last 10-15 years we have had? No. They’d be in the exact same positions as us.

Likewise if we had the success spurs have had and do now then we’d sell out and would be charging more for tickets.

Spurs tickets are not cheap, they just aren’t. Neither are many clubs.

Ours are. £13.40 a game it’s cost me this season.

No mate you are either trolling me are are not the sharpest tool in the box, same as the West Ham fan.

What part in my link below can’t you grasp ffs, scroll down and look for “financial update” 2017/18 it quite clearly states annual revenue of £381m, and pre tax profits of £163m.

The figures that you are using are for the previous year 2016/17 it really isn’t that hard to understand is it ?

And try again ............

outr tickets are not chepa enough to fill the satdium in the premier league..that means they are too expsnive relative to demand for tickets.

so what your saying ius we would sell more tickets if we were better at football? yes of course, but when we are shit at football prictes should fall, they didnt by much, so they were too expensive.

although am I reading right that that was on interest bearing debt of 11m which has now gone up to 366m according to what Essexyid posted?

You are a year behind, they are the figures for season 2016/17 £117m was the pre tax profit for 2016/17

See below for 2017/18 figures which clearly state annual revenue of £381m and pre tax profits of £163m

117m before football trading, tax, interest and most other things that get taken away.

Retained profit 41,207,000 - that is copied and pasted from you own financial report

look on page 3 of the report and as the saying goes read the bottom line

Retained profit is the true number

£40 a ticket is what i was expecting to be honest. I'd imagine the average wage of their fans would be at least double ours.

im not saying your wrong but i thought retained profit was retained earnings..ie the cash "left over" from previous years profits..also somethimes called shareholder funds? and therefore not a reflection of the current years profitability?

accrington charge £20 and you dont get a roof! spurs are abargaun on that basis..

to make it clear

profit before tax etc = 117m
football expenditure = -48.4m
interest = 11.7m
tax = 16.7m
total profit = 41m odd

You are obviously trolling me because nobody could possibly be that thick, so I am posting the latest preliminary financial results for season 2017/18 and you are using financial results from 2016/17 and arguing with me about retained profits etc. Which is something that I have not even mentioned at all.

Here is my point plain and simple for you. 2017/18. Annual revenue = £381m Pre tax profits = £163m

I'm not trolling you - I am quoting directly from Tottenhams official financial results for the season
