I do IT support for the healthcare part of custody suites, its grim at the best of the times, even worse when a load of lorry jumpers have been arrested, the smell and shite they come out with is unreal

The taxi driver who did the rapes 10 years ago got caught due to them taking DNA samples of blokes that matched the description of the guy that did the more recent sexual assault?
Can you not refuse a DNA sample if you're not getting arrested? Else why would he have allowed it?

I thought the taxi driver had been arrested for a completely unrelated assault, and when taking his DNA it happened to match the cold case from 10 years ago. I don't think he was arrested on suspicion of the more recent one because they knew this was done by a young lad.
Not sure if it was mentioned on the show but I read after that they had asked all Black cabbies in area to voluntarily give their DNA after the case from 10 years ago. Unsurprisingly this guy didn't come forward.

Yeah you're right, just reading an article about it, he was arrested on an unrelated domestic incident.
it was a separate assault case - bit confusing the way they mixed the two cases up but I guess the one with the young lad didn't have enough material to fill the programme given his age and the ruling he wasn't fit to be tried

It said "feature length" maybe the DNA was the connection and how critical it now is

Just watched tonight's episode. I don't understand why anyone can get aroused by watching child porn. Is it a power thing, sadism? And the sentences...

Horrible.
It is a difficult thing to say and ...ok I was abused as a child by Catholic priests and clerics.. but on a contempary level .the trajectory of , it would appear of a section of society that seems based in a certain ethnic quarter which needs challenging.
'Not burn them' but a challenge.
And I know that a lot of abuse goes on in white, fractured, households.
But every section of contemporary Britain needs to get their shit together.
