Whatever you think of QUEEN

So his vocal range and musical ability counts for nothing then?

I think of a band's front man as someone who should be able to live/project his band's music to the audience, not just attempt to appear so by being outlandish.

I'm not and never have suggested that either Mercury or Jagger weren't/aren't good front men only that imho Cocker (during his Pulp years) was better at doing what I suggested.

I'll respectfully strongly disagree.

Then continue to piss myself laughing about this statement.

By the way I do genuinely love Pulp, but he's not in the same league.

Amazing film, the only movie I went to see twice at the cinema, watched it another 3 times at home too.

Okay, it’s not factually correct, and the timeline is off, but it tells a fantastic story of the best frontman ever.

The Live Aid sequence at the end sent shivers down my spine and give me goosebumps simply amazing movie.

The only other movies that have made me feel similar was the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan and the opening scene of Inglorious Basterds.

I am probably biased but I have been a Queen fan since I was a kid in the 80s

I agree with all of that except the 'Inglorious Basterds' part.

To me there is a lot more to being a good front man that walking on stage dressed like a drag queen and pumping a fist a few times.

Like vocals which he had?

He was class man just bummed too much and caught aids.

Shame he had too many hangers on and didnt find a lad first.

Comparing Cocker to Mercury is like comparing a Skoda to a Ferrari.

I dont mind Cocker at all but no way should he be mentioned in the same breath as Mercury.
