So nothing then? Okay, thanks. So, this week's releases include albums by Townes van Zandt (posthumous obviously), Amanda Palmer, Buckcherry, David Gray, Dido, Flight of the Conchords (a live album but with unreleased tracks), Foals, Gesaffelstein, Helado Negro, Juice WRLD, Light Conductor (bloke from Besnard Lakes is involved), Meat Puppets, Patty Griffin, Sasami, Sigrid, Stella Donnelly, The Wild Honeys, Dave, The Stroppies, Jim Jones & the Righteous Mind, E.B. the Younger and Blick Bassy.
Not sure I'm overly impressed.
Not a good sign when my likely pick is a comedy album (and I don’t mean David Gray)
They always miss the mark for me. Their music has so much potential but it just never delivers. It just becomes repetitive and droning after a while. I have a friend who thinks they are "brilliant" but I strongly disagreeSame for me. As well as FotC, Foals are the obvious listen. Meat Puppets are good but post-reunion have been nowhere near their 80s heyday. The Stella Donnelly album could be interesting. She's an Aussie singer-songwriter who made a completely solo EP last year which was a decent listen. Her album is with a full band. Beyond that, Jim Jones is a bit Nick Cave/Gallon Drunk-esque, The Stroppies seem to be an Aussie indiepop supergroup consisting of members of bands I've never heard of, Dave is one of UK hiphop's great hopes, Blick Bassy is a Cameroonian blues/jazz/folk singer songwriter and EB the Younger is the current Midlake singer (the one who did vocals on the not that great fourth album). oh, Helado Negro is on Sufjan's Asthmatic Kitty label, which makes me think his album could be interesting.
Never heard of them. Worth a listen?@Arkle you missed Indoor Pets
On a quiet week yeahSo nothing then? Okay, thanks.

Thought you were being sarcastic, but just googled it and that's an actual music magazine. And here I thought you were being a dick. My apologies.Dangnamit! They've got a 5/5 review from Dork magazine as well...
New National and Protomartyr singlesThere's not much interesting in the Rough Trade email TBH. An EP by Kokoroko and an album by Aussie psychrock types Money For Rope are probably the highlights. There's a new King Gizzard 7" single but I've no idea how widely available that is in terms of streaming services (if at all).

PahAye. Someone else can list the single releases though...
Pah
Light Conductor are good, id heard the “single” and album is worthy of a listen
Given I haven’t listened to them in 5 years, I’m struggling to compare! More experimental for surehow does it compare to the besnard lakes?
Reissued 12-inch vinyl of both versions of Ceremony by New Order - remasters but not entirely new remasters (I think 2016/2018)Aye. Someone else can list the single releases though...
There were 3 songs available on iTunes yesterday, they were playing over and over and over while I was working and I wasn't even aware of them. They just blended into the background as none of them caught my ear.Indoor Pets is alright. But won’t be a record I go back to in a couple of months time I bet
I heard the song "You Had Your Soul with You" from the National this morning and I really liked it.New National and Protomartyr singles
