It really depends what scale he's talking about.
As an area, Sunderland voted to leave. The local scales were tipped in favour of Leaving 61-39.
Obviously one area is not enough to make the whole country leave, but I don't think he's actually said this.
I do hope he's wrong about Nissan, but sadly I think it's coming.

People really should look at the bigger problem and not be getting their knickers in a twist about a few words from a no mark on twitter.

I blame Alan sugar for f***ing up prime time TV with "The apprentice" the soft, southern, shandy drinking, cockeny.:)
blame U.S.-based British producer Mark Burnett, he's at fault for Donald Trump getting to become President & you can blame him for Sugar by a few degree's of separation.

It’s the fault of Sunderland voters because the returning office is the most efficient?

Fair point and I really don't know what he means by 'tipping the scale' anyway.

On the other hand, we have enough image problems without some high-profile halfwit wading in.

It’s a bit worrying that a man involved in the country’s political apparatus has seemingly no idea how a national referendum works.

Does he think that when Sunderland declared leave first that millions stormed the already closed polling stations to change their vote from remain to leave on the back of our city’s decision?

Along with the likes of Piers Morgan, he’s a professional gobshite who seemingly just aspires to be controversial.

That photo will haunt the City for years to come. We should have delayed announcing to the early hours

I’d genuinely love to know what they were expecting to come our way after the referendum for them to be so celebratory.
