As most people on here (myself included) don't know anything other than a few clips might be best just to wait and see how he turns out.

Mag on twitter yesterday saying that because they have Rafa and he's won trophies, that makes them better than us?

Nowt like linking your managers past successes to his current club....not sure he'd be quick to be putting a relegation on his CV.

Someone also put that if you're were to go down that road of thought....Roy Keane has won more trophies than Rafa before he managed Sunderland, the mag didn't like that at all ha!
He has a point

I’ve watched him play over the last two seasons, I think he’s brilliant and will probably do well for the mags tbh.
At what level have you watched him play? Major league soccer? Brilliant at that level doesn't mean they're likely to do well at championship level let alone premier league.

Fookin best signing of the transfer window in the prem, fact,. Just been on FIFA 19 and put him in my toon team, scored 1 and won a penna on debut,nice1 raffa

TBF he's a young South American with talent, he could go either way. Clearly the MLS isn't a good standard and his goal rate has improved whilst there, but whilst we can give examples of shit players who've done well there, some decent ones haven't done so well.

If I was a Newcastle fan I'd be more worried about Benitez's record of signing useless/lightweight Hispanic shite rather than just whether the lad can make the step up.

They've been ranting on about their transfer record and now they've done it and some are treating it as they've signed an absolute superstar, yet he's massively unproven and it shows even for 20m these days you're taking a risk.

Working with a lad who’s a Gateshead mag, on wedneaday afternoon was going mad that they don’t spend money, Ashley’s a wanker. All the usual stuff, then it surfaces that this Almiron is signing ......why do we spend big money on shite????

Had he not heard on Tuesday that Almiron was already on his way over, and he was at the training ground on wedneday afternoon?

Has it been mentioned that when he has stepped up to International level, he hasn’t really stepped up at all.
12 appearances, no goals.
I predict he will have a bright start, give the lopsided carbunkle a lift, then get sussed and a loan to Preston will beckon within 2 years.

Had 1 disallowed tho

Benitez on SSN "Almiron" is a 'long term investment' :D he plays them like a fiddle
First propper Raffa signing according to my man at the club, makes sense seeing how it's the first signing ashley has given the go ahead to on an installment agreement, raffa and new owners behind this 1
