Apparently this season he scores goals. f***ing hell"We knew him a little bit, I think we do not have time to look too much, we are focused on the field, to prepare the team. But we have a sufficiently professional team, specialists who take care of that. We knew him a little. His profile? We need a scorer, that’s what we need. Apparently, this season he scores goals. After, the game in France is different, there are plenty of things difficult to manage like that. It is a physically difficult championship, you have to be very strong in front and have the quality of a goalscorer.
"It’s a young player, knowing that a young player does not have that quality right now, it gets ready, it improves, it is fine...But it’s a young talent."
Not exactly endearing....
I think fees for players that weren't ours anymore were supposed to be cleared. Not sure whether Khazri had already gone by then or not though.Someone mentioned we still owed for Oviedo too, could be more who knows
Not really worrying. Still get the same amount of money and still pay the debt to Bordeaux that we were going to pay anyway. Just a different way around it.Christ, I really hope this isn't true like. Thats very worrying if so

We had money for investment before Maja was going to leave so nothing has changed there either.
I really don't think I am being unreasonable here, I'll say it even though I'll get dog's abuse, but they got such a good deal to buy Sunderland, surely relatively small debts like that could have been cleared by themselves, meaning any sales of players, especially our best talents, can go back into the first XI
Surely that is part of the deal when you get such a big club for cheap, to sort some of the debts yourselves, its why you are getting it so cheap. If you buy a football club, I'd have thought things like this you are expected to sort out initially to get things rolling.
I am beginning to think they haven't got anyI was hoping the new owners would use some of their own capital to pay off small outstanding fees like that, not just the sale of players

That's the way I see it. Also quite a few different outlets have Bordeux having an average wage of $800'000 (dollars)sounds like they've took him just settle what we owe them, bit like owing someone 5k which you haven't got so he takes your car
the owners aren't big hitters and likely cant afford to take a personal loss to make up for cash flow issues etc..
we're aiming for sense sustainable. think they've been pretty transparent about that from the off tbf
Mate...don’t even try. You’ll just get dogs abuse for not towing the party line.
Why would they clear it themselves? It's the clubs debt not theirs.I really don't think I am being unreasonable here, I'll say it even though I'll get dog's abuse, but they got such a good deal to buy Sunderland, surely relatively small debts like that could have been cleared by themselves, meaning any sales of players, especially our best talents, can go back into the first XI

Don’t think you’re being unreasonable at all. Valid points I think but I see it a different way. We don’t actually know if any money was outstanding for Khazri but it’s suggested that there is. Even if there is, it is only a fraction of the overall debt that was left owing to player purchases. Most was payed in the summer and the remaining totals are due next summer. It’s just standard practise to have deals such as that. Why would anyone pay a large balance before it was due if there was no financial reason to do so?I really don't think I am being unreasonable here, I'll say it even though I'll get dog's abuse, but they got such a good deal to buy Sunderland, surely relatively small debts like that could have been cleared by themselves, meaning any sales of players, especially our best talents, can go back into the first XI

They’ve got a lovely little 3k capacity stadium shared with a rugby team. What’s not to be excited about?Sounds like a long-winded way of saying he's one for the future. Prepare for Bordeaux II in French National 2 with the semi-pros and amateurs, Josh.
Out of curiosity, did we owe Bordeaux any money on outstanding transfer liabilities?
Does anyone think the managers quotes could have been lost in translation?
