Maja shown how poor his attitude is from this move. He will do nowt at a decent level now. These are key years to develop and he will now hit a wall.

Fuck him take the money and move on.
I don’t think his attitude will adversely affect his ability, but a questionable attitude could impact his career development further down the line.

Which is the definition of risk. However as we are talking about the club being equally to blame I fail to see how it is possible. We offered him terms that they requested, they refused. If we had fell short, I would understand
Doesn’t really matter, it’s about convincing him to sign. We didn’t

That’s football. And life

Hi josh’s agent

I think he will and if we offered what he asked for who’s to say he wasn’t going to become a millionaire anyway. Different culture, language, style of football, and country at such a young age, not sure at all that he has been well advised here one bit

I can't get my head around the denial on here. When I quoted your post I wasn't sure if I was being whooshed.

What you've listed there is exactly why it's a great move. If it doesn't turn out as hoped, he returns to a British club with his reputation intact. If it does work out, he may return a better player. Either way, Sky, BBC etc. all know who he is now.

What's better? A move to a club challenging for honours in a European league or a move to someone like Middlesbrough or West Brom?

I know what i'd choose.

Assuming he plays regularly and performs well in their first team. You are right mate, but this remains to be seen.

I couldn’t agree with what SKP says in this article more mate

He'll be lucky to challenge for a first team place at Bordeaux. They're not really challenging for honours either.

on the flip side of your argument - I don't think he's close to being ready for what you're suggesting, even if it were the case. at 20 he'd be doing well to play regularly and keep on developing at a decent level be it league one or the championship, which he didn't look ready for last season.

I just don't think he's that good, but it's a shame for us to lose him in our current position.

Instant millionaire how? Most players get 10% of the transfer in a signing on fee. £350K in this case. Yes he'll be on £10K a week but less tax it will take him more than 2 years to earn a million.
Nitpicking there mind. He'll get a multi million pound contract, the length of contract and weekly wage is superfluous to the point. I'm reasonably sure he'll get a better contract than what we were offering.

I think you mean Dale Jennings, but are you implying that he was ruined by Bayern Munich?

it is dale jennings yes..dale stephens is a different player..no i was just stating that going abroad with a bit of media hype doesnt help a player if it doesnt work out...think the player has said it was his fault at bayern not the clubs..coulnt settle etc..

He was gonna get a 10k a week contract he wasn't he, over how many years? also he'd have got a signing on fee, was promised back dated wages and promotion increase as well as a release clause, as well as the loyalty payments he'd get as standard.

he may have had a bigger signing on fee going there, he may have been offered bigger wages, though it's doubtful a ligue one club could or would offer those to a 20 year old who wasn't a major player, but what is absolutely certain is that his agents got a decent wedge here for facilitating the move.

He played 17 games last season, not sure how many from the bench. I don’t think clubs in our position are likely to offer improved contracts until the last year with younger players, especially when he hadn’t done anything out of the ordinary.
Him and Asorro both showed something last season. They both turned down contracts. People need to stop thinking we let these talented young lads go without trying. We did try, they both fucked off anyway. so...they can both F off.

Hilarious how all the 'experts'( geet wailing fannies) know for certain Maja will be getting no game time:lol: none of us have any idea

Has someone said no game time? I certainly haven't. He won't be a shoe in for regular games though and given who they have on loan he'll struggle this season for regular games.

He might get £500K a year for 4 years which is what we were offering him here. Basically he's turning his back on a club that he is doing very well at and we are doing well out of him too for a signing on fee. Very short termist by him and mostly his agent who'll be getting a big chunk of that signing on fee.

Good luck Josh, you'll need it because the jury is very much out whether you can make the step up. You have shown promise at a low level but you are nowhere near the finished article and possibly never will be.
