grigg has done much more than maja..at a higher level..

He's done fuck all in the championship mate & his game is nowhere near as good.

The lad couldn't get a minute in the NI squad behind Washington & Magginnes too

Yeah it's a shite deal. Will Grigg isn't on his level & we are weakening our attacking options.

All SD talked about on an earlier podcast was that we were looking at people who could make the step up next year. Haven't seen any linked and we're going after Grigg. It's a ioke
grtigg did make the step up..has 4 in 10 in the higher league this season...maja is 1 in 17 in that league..

How often did you watch Wigan last season like? The only time I saw them was against Man City. Grigg looked canny then.
Getting £3.5 million for a player who could leave for buttons in the summer and replacing him with a proven goalscorer at this level and another striker on top would be excellent business.

It's a bad deal long-term, because Maja could develop into a top player. Might not, but who honestly knows.

That said, for the short-term objective of promotion, I think a fit Will Grigg is a better option. Maja is a better finisher in all probability, but Grigg surely knows how to move a defence around in this league to create space for others. Let's be clear: Maja is poor at this.

Ultimately, we're in league one and players like Maja aren't going to hang around. So can't really blame the owners for that - our hand has been forced. £3.5m is more than we got for Asoro.

Mate I've seen Grigg play enough to say he's not what we need. We need a physical, strong, quick striker who can progress with the club. Grant at Charlton would be good.
