You don't get the love in with the owner who stepped in when we were just relegated to league one, restructured the club to make it financially viable again, re-engaged the fans, backed his manager as much as he wanted, surrounded himself with knowledgable people and safeguarded the future of Sunderland AFC? Me either.

Nee point engaging seriously with a WUM.

I don’t think he will sign and I have to say IF we offered him what he wanted and he still doesn’t want to sign, then as much as I’d have loved him to stay, he joins the toodles, you don’t want to play for my club then move on group of players.
In my opinion he’s still got a lot of developing to do, he could have done it here and still got his big move a few seasons down the line. He’s at risk, of signing for a club where he sits on the bench or is back in the under 21’s. Neither of which replicates playing for a first team, regularly, in whatever league.
If he moves on, and it works out he’s made the right decision, and fair play to him, if he moves on and it doesn’t work out, he may well drop down the leagues, if he does he will never play for a bigger club in the lower echelons.
He just needs to look at Asoro. Obviously every player will think, that'll never happen to me, but I can't for the life of me figure out why he wouldn't just sign a contact with clauses in relating to how we do and what clubs come in for him.

I guess ultimately, he doesn’t have much affinity with Sunderland and listens to his agent, rightly or wrongly.

I think he means the other Janssen mate.

Matt?

Asoro is the prime example and by all accounts from the Netflix documentary they were good mates, if he was my good mate I’d be telling him, I don’t work in football best mate circles though.

He’s not ill. He was at the David Lloyd gym in Newcastle yesterday morning. Obviously wants out and doesn’t give a fuck about us. Good player but unfortunately we need to get rid and just make sure we get s good price for him.

Did you see him may I ask or are you reporting something someone else has said or told you ?
Be interested to know.

 f***ing hell.

There’s some right loons get on this board like.

What more could he have done like?

Not even worth arguing with him tbh. I try and respect everyone's opinions on here, I know I'm wrong as often as I'm right, but I've got no time for agendas. I'm talking from way back in the day; I remember WHED hated Whitehead, no issue with people not rating him, but even when he'd had a canny game you knew he'd be on slagging him off. This bloke is similar, he's been against the owners from day one. Maybe he's a mag, maybe he's just ridiculously negative, but all he seems to post is criticism of the owners. If someone can't acknowledge any positives about any subject I tend to ignore them, not worth the f***ing effort

He’s just been dead against them from day 1. No chance given to prove themselves. Just condemned without a chance.
I’m with you in that I’m not sure of his motivation for it.

:):)

Agreed. As a supporter I try to be positive, to give people a chance, that's half the point of supporting imo. I'll criticise anyone connected to the club if they deserve it, but fuck me I'd never consider making up my mind the second someone walked in and simply, stubbornly, refuse to budge. Must either be a mag or have some other sort of agenda, might just have missed it but haven't noticed him post anything, about any subject, other than criticism of the owners

Perhaps he was feeling better?

He’s not posted anything but criticism from the day the new owners walked through the door, jibes about skinflints, no money. No chance given to prove themselves, it’s weird.
I’ve been the same from day one, potentially exciting, who knows, I’ll give them a chance and until they balls up I’ll back them

what if he looks at Asoro's bank account and thinks "Nice!"
Ask to won't be on £10k per week

Vincent Janssen who cost Tottenham the beat part of £20M and was a regular starter out on loan to Fenerbahce last season before he broke his leg? That Janssen?
I say it was a very long shot
Just stating that Poch has said, Janssen is not part his plans. And since the price cannot be anywhere near what Spurs would want to sell him this window, better to get him on loan and up the price. Plus Poch may not be in the manager seat next season, so getting sold may not be what Janssen is looking for either, rather a new chance next season.
All that said, I doubt we're anywhere near his first choice of destination
