My dad never tired of telling us that went to see them on what must have been this tour. I'd have loved to have taken him to see this if he was still around.

Laughing Gravy is, for me, their finest hour (or 2o mins, probably...)

My son posts on here as Laughing Gravy. I used to wet mesel watching him wet himself watching their videos.

The number of times I must have watched Way Out West and Big Business at my grandparents' house as a kid. Together with Zulu and It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World.....

I know every line and gunshot off by heart.

Now there's a classic, Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, one of the greatest comedies I have ever seen and has been a classic film out family have watched for years.
There are so many classic lines, one of those I never tire of watching.

I’ve never seen this film. Just googled it, it reads as if it would great, what’s the best way to watch it ?

I have the dvd but I think it's on kodi. It's a long film and and for me one of the most quotable films ever. The cast is immense, I've watched a few of the press interviews on YouTube and it's clear the cast had a ball making the film.

Actually I think it's all on YouTube.

He just went sailing right out there.....

Hoping to see this next week.

Not sure about casting of Steve Coogan as Stan mind. Seems like a odd choice.
I like Coogan as Alan Partridge but I can't abide him in anything else. He's such a ham. I've seen snippets of this film and it just strikes me as 'Oh there's Steve Coogan doing his Stan Laurel impression.' It always has to be about him. I didn't like the thing with Rob Brydon for the same reason. Just two, I have to say, talented, but terribly self obsessed, actors trying to outdo each other. If people can suspend disbelief and enjoy it, fair play to them. I can't.

Not really a remake of anything of theirs though is it? There's been biopics of them in the past just this had a larger budget.

I was going to say the same

I have an enduring memory of a L&H short called <checks IMDb> Busy Bodies. The working at a sawmill and the middle of their room there's a brick or something on the floor. Ollie steps over it that many times the suspense becomes unbearable, then when he finally trips over the thing like he was inevitably going to I was just out of breath laughing

Edit: bollocks it wasn't Busy Bodies

I have every one of their short films on a hard disk and backed up

I regretted watching one of their final movies - great guns - set in ww2 it was pretty weak and the boys were almost out of character
