So if you agree the agent would have spoken to Maja then it's obvious Maja didn't want that deal neither and it's not all the agents fault.

Both Maja and the agent are on a fishing trip stringing the club along. Both can fuck off if you ask me, we're bigger and better than both of them.

I want to here their side of the story and if we actually offered what they wanted.

The deadline was made public to generate interest from other clubs.

There’s no way the club will want to go to a tribunal. That’s why they’ve gone public with it.

given the contract has been on the table, unsigned, for a few months means they know it’s unlikely he will sign, so they’ve forced the issue. Clubs who need a striker are aware of his availability early in the window. More interest - higher bids.

I get that but surely his agent would be more than capable of letting it be known we are open to offers. That’s what they do isn’t it? In terms of our profile as a league 1 club it’s not like the story is even likely to make the nationals here never mind abroad. I think the club thought by forcing the issue he’d sign.

No. That's a false positive argument. You have no idea what was said, what Maja thinks, or the terms under which the decision to not sign was made. In short, you're just making (false) assumptions and passing them off as fact to suit your own agenda.

Will be in the agents best interests financially for him to move in the summer.

His agent wants him to run his contract down and move at the end of it.

If I were an agent, I'd probably take the view that leaking to SSN 'I've got a player, come and get him' might save a lot of legwork and phone calls.

We cant seem to hold on to our good players(Or shit ones). This is the responsibility of our chairman/owner, blame must be pointed at them.

A salesman cant blame his customers for not buying if he misses his target.

Maja and his agent will have an eye on the lay of the land in Germany and the success of Jadon Sancho. I’m not saying Maja has the potential to be as good, but there is a market over there and let’s be fair if there is interest in Maja from Germany they’d be idiots not to even look at it.

We can’t force people to sign mate, or would you rather pay way above what he’s worth and five months later he’s downed tools. See kone.

Not sure if you’ve noticed but in football, players transferring clubs is an actual thing. It happens. Players sometimes want to change clubs and sometimes clubs want players to change clubs.
It seems that Maja has been happy here but by all accounts he has some potential opportunities that are interesting to him.
