Spot on, but I don't think Donald is without fault with his first tweet - shown with a bit of backtracking in placing the blame at the agent's door and saying we should back Maja with his second.
not backtracking...tooo different messages,,first one money..second one protect maja..donald has been ytweetoing far to much lately..but on this he is right..

If as has been reported he told Ross he wanted to sign then the next day told club his agent told him not to sign and as he had been offered what he wanted, then I would bin him and never play him again. I would make him fulfill his obligations but keep him away from all players at the club.

that is a common sense approach. so to think about logic. maja in his own mind wanted to stay. Otherwise why would he ask to speak to the manger and tell him.

Maja then gets home and tells his agent what he has said.

For agent to his bigger cut, he has to force through the deal to elsewhere

He cant ask his player to retract. He would have to go face to face with SD to tell him, but he is then in line for some serious questions and the agent will look untrustworthy and lose face.

so agent phones up tv company and gets the tv company to break news to SD. SD responds and agent then has a go (I am lead to believe as I have not seen what he actually said) at SD, trying to make SD look like the baddie. This also ties the players hand and he now has to go along with it.

before anybody thinks that is far fetched, think back to the Bridges and Johnston transfer saga of 20 years

It might not be far off tbf although I think Maja could easily put a stop to it if he wanted to. I just don’t understand why the agent would leak him turning down a 700% pay rise.

Disapointed to hear this, but hopefully we can get him to change his mind, without being held to ransom for more than we can/should pay. Steve Gerrard openly said he put in a transfer request at Liverpool, to try to get a move to Chelsea, and he changed his mind, and everything was fine for him, so it would be the same for Maja here.

He's no Gerrard obviously, but i would like to think he would at least give us a couple of seasons to see how we progress, before deciding he wants to move on, after we have invested in his early years, and Ross has shown faith in him this season. Agent scumbags will always think of the money. They don't really give a feck about the players interests footballing wise. If he refuses, after saying he would, and he goes, then sadly feck him, and we move on as a club.

The state this club had got itself in, by bending over, and letting players go in dry, are hopefully behind us. That goes for ANY player. People can't compare what he's offered to what Love, or Catts etc are on. The owners had no doing of that, and it's not a secret that it nearly crippled us as a club. If he agreed to Ross yesterday, then the owners were never gonna try to through more at him.Why would/should they? He'd told them he'd sign.

Tell your agent, thanks for the advice, but after consideration, you've decided to stick with the club Maja lad, if you're reading this.

Yes but not for conducting business. Did Sainsbury’s negotiate their purchase of Argos via Tweets?

Keeping fans engaged I don’t have a problem with but mouthing off whilst he’s still negotiating with Maja and his agent is stupid beyond belief
You haven't read any of what's gone on have you.

The thing is Ross has already said he's a very humble , nice lad, who is no bother. This isn't a mercenary N'Dong etc refusing to even set foot in Sunderland. A young lad just turned 20. He will make the odd rash decision, under pressure. He just needs to talk to the footballing side of it. IE the manager, and sort it out.

That's a bit OTT mate.

You watch. Jack Ross will handle this bang on.

I think he'll play him tomorrow.

He a wimp with no bollocks, he needs to stand up for himself and tell his agent you work for me.
He is mate, that is why the agent is getting the flak. That's part of what he or she is paid to do. No problem with the lad looking out for himself. only problem I have is that people who are leaving a job tend to hold back a bit. It's human nature.

You’re glad he turned 10 k down yet we have Cattermole on 40k a week ?
Makes sense
Did the new owners offer cattermole that contract when we were trying to sort our finances out? It’s not f***ing difficult to understand really. I haven’t suggested I’m happy Cattermole is on so much and it’s been made clear the owners are delighted with it either.
