we are run by charlie meth=ven a pR expert, those of us who deal withg PRs regaulrly know they believe the playtform matters because the platforms people use are changing..itx the very ltest PR technique combined with the very oldest..if you gewt the story outr first tou control iot, he did that..and if you reach your target audience quickly you win..he did that..preofessional poutfits use twitter ebery day of the week...

Yes but not for conducting business. Did Sainsbury’s negotiate their purchase of Argos via Tweets?

Keeping fans engaged I don’t have a problem with but mouthing off whilst he’s still negotiating with Maja and his agent is stupid beyond belief

Why is the agent getting all the grief, Maja obviously doesn't want to sign the contract, he should have had the balls to tell the club that and not do it through his agent.

Yes agents are parasites, but it's the player who has the final word.

I have no problem football clubs kicking back at parasitic agents, if more had done it sooner they might have had less power and been less parasitic.
IF Maja told Jack Ross he was signing yesterday Jack Ross must feel disappointed after speaking positively all week about the relationship he had with Maja.
I don’t know whether to be pissed off with Maja or feel sorry for him, I’m edging towards the latter which is unlike me.

How is it easy to disprove?

And which people apart from the MD - a bloke who isn't and never has been involved in transfer deals?

I get why SD has done it and understand his frustrations. I just think its completely self-defeating. Do it at the end of January once he's gone if he really feels he has to.
tony coton richard hill are the people around him..hill's title is literally football adviser and he has worked at premier league level on transfer deals..
coton has worked on transfer deals for clubs at a higehr level..
the md is not connected to the football side at al..

Can't keep letting our talented players just leave or we'll never get anyway.

Agents and the way the game is set up makes it solid for teams like us, despite the massive support. It's backwards.

Don't blame Maja for wanting to make as much money as he can but it's a shit state of affairs for us as fans.

press relesases go to every media outlet and take time..he had to go quickly to get it out before sky could..thats the point..he had to use the quickets method..

maja could simply say he never asked to speak to jack to sign tursday and its disproved..

And who would believe him?

Ok, if I accept that point I then he should do something officially through proper channels and in a less emotive, shabby fashion where he could have calmly criticised the agent whilst simultaneously reaching out to Maja.

I agree that players should not run the club. Everything Ross has said in the past few days suggests that Maja’s behaviour where it matters is not at all in line with that. We also need good players at this level to get us above this level. This saga is not helping that as Maja is absolutely key

I agree Maja is a key player, and we're all furious to lose him....but he's obviously had outside influences which has caused him to act as he did. All young lads of that age do,whatever their walk of life. But,none of that entitles him to special consideration.......Donald is entitled to give his version of events.

We have dropped 2 Divisions and almost went into receivership under a system where sub standard Players called the shots. The new Owners are trying to reverse that trend. This is the first real test and they are standing their ground whilst trying their best to accomodate a potentially very good Player. The People criticising Donald here presumably support the Agent/Player approach which seems strange given our experience. My view is that we sell Maja if he does not sign a contract and move on. Even if this costs us promotion this year I think it will reinforce the good sense which the new Regime has brought in and whilst is a setback will be the best thing long term. The mess left by the previous Owner was always likely to take time to sort out and for me we are ahead of where I would have expected at this point.
Agree to a point. I would play him in the hope we get promoted then he can sling his hook and replace him. Who knows if he will make it at championship level.
