As much as we're disappointed....even furious.....no decent fan on here wants anyone to break their leg.
Don't see why anyone would be furious. He's a very young player with potential and done nothing as yet. Another player seeking out as much cash as possible. Maybe as a Man U fan and losing Ronaldo would be infuriating but Maja?

who told you the worse case is he wants to play till the end of the summer? thats what i ;hope is happening..but he could say he wants out now..

But that should be managed easily by Donald. If we don't want to sell him, that doesn't have to happen. He doesn't seem like an arsehole kid or someone forcing their way out. This could easily be dealt with properly by not turning the kid into a pariah and sacrificing our most potent goal threat in the name of good twitter PR.

That's the issue here. We don't know if his attitude and enthusiasm will take a down turn. He could be a model pro and give 100%...or he stop caring and at that point becomes a weight around the team's neck. Interesting to see how this shakes out
We'll find out on Saturday though won't we.

I would have Maja in the office now with Ross to explain this

Why? He clearly wants to move, the only help he needs is clearing his locker out and he's also made Young Jacky look like a reet mug
There is no need to drum up interest. It’s well known that his contract is up, safc have drawn attention to the fact he’s stalled on it and today’s development will only encourage potential suiters. And maybe that’s what Donald wants.

If a club of Man City’s stature are genuinely interested, then yes both player and agent will make a lot more money than if he had re-signed for us. That’s life. Going to sky wouldn’t have any impact though. City or anyone else would easily be able to get hold of the agent re a summer transfer or safc if they wanted to buy now.
It looks like his agent thinks differently. Otherwise why go to Sky and not the club?

Take flack off player (he’s already asked fans to get behind him) Put pressure on agent. Make it sound like we are paying players what they want to either appease fans thinking we aren’t offering enough, or make players of other clubs think we will offer them fortunes. Could be anyone of a number of reasons.

Why would a player seek out the manager and specifically ask to sign a contract then fuck off home without saying anything and leave sky to tell the club? He and his agent know the whole deal on the table so I doubt Maja only just spoke to him that night after weeks of not talking to suddenly tell him not to sign. He would have already told him this several times before then.

That’s a silly approach from Donald. Basically it’s criticising Maja and his agent and insinuating that greed is driving this negotiation but then in the next breathe he’s saying get behind Maja? That’s like telling someone their Mrs has slept with the window cleaner but you should give your Mrs a hug cause it was the window cleaners fault. Not gonna happen.

I think he may have realised he’s created a situation now and the comment about getting behind Maja is backtracking. It’s so unhelpful for Jack Ross

We have dropped 2 Divisions and almost went into receivership under a system where sub standard Players called the shots. The new Owners are trying to reverse that trend. This is the first real test and they are standing their ground whilst trying their best to accomodate a potentially very good Player. The People criticising Donald here presumably support the Agent/Player approach which seems strange given our experience. My view is that we sell Maja if he does not sign a contract and move on. Even if this costs us promotion this year I think it will reinforce the good sense which the new Regime has brought in and whilst is a setback will be the best thing long term. The mess left by the previous Owner was always likely to take time to sort out and for me we are ahead of where I would have expected at this point.

Why should we provide a platform for a player to continue to better himself if he has no intention of committing long term......if he doesn't want to play for this magnificent klerb he Fooks off at the earliest opportunity......don't worship false Fookin Gods

Are you ill? Every club has players who aren't in it for the long haul or would leave if a bigger club came calling. You're in for a long hard life of disappointment if your expectation is that every player must be signing up a career with us or they're useless.

I also bet you wouldn't hesitate to say he should be dropped/sold at the 'earliest opportunity' when he didn't fit in with your plans anymore.

Or he could be a model pro, give 100% but his head is all awar the shop and turns out a dog shit performance and gets hooked at half time - probably the most likely scenario imo

Donald has done the right thing for me. Get our side out as the agent went to the press first. May also show the agent up to be the shitehouse he is to Maja. This could be a big back fire from the agent. All I have heard is that he has been ‘told’ to not sign it, not that he is definitely not going to. Here’s hoping anyway.

Because we are a professional outfit and not some idiots plaything. If you start with this, the club reputation is brought into disrepute and agents want nothing to do with us in future. Additionally, it’s likely that Majas agent is also the agent for other players that we have and we still need to deal with them in the future. Can’t just “tell them all to fuck off” - if only life was as simple as you make out
we are run by charlie meth=ven a pR expert, those of us who deal withg PRs regaulrly know they believe the playtform matters because the platforms people use are changing..itx the very ltest PR technique combined with the very oldest..if you gewt the story outr first tou control iot, he did that..and if you reach your target audience quickly you win..he did that..preofessional poutfits use twitter ebery day of the week...
