Football is all about finance though.
Love it or hate it thats the fact.
In my opinion, long term he stands a better chance of earning more staying here at least a little longer. Playing, learning and scoring will get him a bigger and better move in future. Or he just rides up the leagues with us and gets a bigger and bigger contract.

Depends what his initial salary is, if rumours are to believed on here, then 7 times is salary doesnt equate to what he is worth

That’s a silly approach from Donald. Basically it’s criticising Maja and his agent and insinuating that greed is driving this negotiation but then in the next breathe he’s saying get behind Maja? That’s like telling someone their Mrs has slept with the window cleaner but you should give your Mrs a hug cause it was the window cleaners fault. Not gonna happen.

I think he may have realised he’s created a situation now and the comment about getting behind Maja is backtracking. It’s so unhelpful for Jack Ross

Maja has done nowt wrong to be fair. Donald just knows he’s going to take a whole load of shit from the twitter knackers (which he already is) so trying to calm it

we are run by charlie meth=ven a pR expert, those of us who deal withg PRs regaulrly know they believe the playtform matters because the platforms people use are changing..itx the very ltest PR technique combined with the very oldest..if you gewt the story outr first tou control iot, he did that..and if you reach your target audience quickly you win..he did that..preofessional poutfits use twitter ebery day of the week...

Fuck did you type that with :lol:

Sorry, but if that is true, which I have my doubts and think agent is just acting the villain on Majas behalf, he needs to man up and make his own decisions. Just comes across as weak and if true, I've lost respect for the lad.

There is no need to drum up interest. It’s well known that his contract is up, safc have drawn attention to the fact he’s stalled on it and today’s development will only encourage potential suiters. And maybe that’s what Donald wants.

If a club of Man City’s stature are genuinely interested, then yes both player and agent will make a lot more money than if he had re-signed for us. That’s life. Going to sky wouldn’t have any impact though. City or anyone else would easily be able to get hold of the agent re a summer transfer or safc if they wanted to buy now.

his agent thinks differently.

My take on it also.

Mr Bonsu seems to be the same agent who has Jadon Sancho. I wouldn’t be surprised if his agent gets him a move to Germany just to fuck us over for any fee.

but its easy to dsiprove that lie..so would be monumentallyt stupoid to say it...this is the third football club stewrat has run..he has experienced people who have operated at far bigger clubs than sunderland with him..he knows the game..

How is it easy to disprove?

And which people apart from the MD - a bloke who isn't and never has been involved in transfer deals?

I get why SD has done it and understand his frustrations. I just think its completely self-defeating. Do it at the end of January once he's gone if he really feels he has to.

It looks like his agent thinks differently. Otherwise why go to Sky and not the club?[/QUOTE]

As I’ve said already I’m waiting for the sky reporters account of this and/or the agents before passing judgement on weather this has actually happened.

So does a press release through the club
press relesases go to every media outlet and take time..he had to go quickly to get it out before sky could..thats the point..he had to use the quickets method..
