There's an obvious incentive to lie - if Maja doesn't sign (which it looks like he won't), they need to limit the criticism from fans.
but its easy to dsiprove that lie..so would be monumentallyt stupoid to say it...this is the third football club stewrat has run..he has experienced people who have operated at far bigger clubs than sunderland with him..he knows the game..

He didn't say he doesn't want to play. Even in the worst case scenario, he's saying he wants to play for someone else at the end of his contract.

People need to get over themselves. It's never all or nothing, and the more you make it a binary yes or no question, the harder it is to pick up the pieces if the answer isn't to your liking.

Why should we provide a platform for a player to continue to better himself if he has no intention of committing long term......if he doesn't want to play for this magnificent klerb he Fooks off at the earliest opportunity......don't worship false Fookin Gods

Exactly. Common practice for lower league players to play their contract out before moving on.

Agent appears to be Elite Project Group who have 8 players including Maja. Top valued players are Iwobi (Arsenal) and Lookman (Everton).
Elite's top man seems to an Osita Nwankwo with Eddie Bonsu, Stefano Atkinson-Nelson and the aptly named K.Hunt. All seem to be from Urban London and I'm guessing there's not too much common ground between them and Stuart Donald, Charlie Methven.

Who cares what platform is used? I think it is tremendous the Donald exposes the games agents play. For years and year we have had the piss taken out of us by agents and now we are showing we are not going to accept it lying down. However, you have a problem that it isn't on a press release? Donald is a breath of fresh air. I presume in the good old days of Short we did press releases and you were happier.

Because we are a professional outfit and not some idiots plaything. If you start with this, the club reputation is brought into disrepute and agents want nothing to do with us in future. Additionally, it’s likely that Majas agent is also the agent for other players that we have and we still need to deal with them in the future. Can’t just “tell them all to fuck off” - if only life was as simple as you make out

Why doesn't he sack the Fooka then........he wants to sine but his agent doesn't? Fook 'em.......he doesn't want to play he can Fook off now

I don't know what the relationship between them is like, from what I've heard about other agent's and their clients, it could be that hes simply trusting his agent to do the best thing and assuming that he knows best when that's not always the case

I am at the point everyone is replaceable especially at the L1 level weather or not it requires more £££ is another discussion. We need a new squad for the PL if Maja does not want it then his mentality is not the right player at Sunderland like it or not..

What if his agent is telling him he can get him a better deal at a bigger club in a higher division?
Thats what Maja and all players expect of their agent.
If he just wanted to resign for us with no questions he wouldnt need an agent.
You have to remember the more money the agent gets the player the more he gets paid.
The agent has no affiliation to Sunderland - they are just customers.
When we sign some players do you think agents will be involved? Of course, but if we get what we need no doubt anybody will mind too much!
It might make financial sense...… but in footballing terms..... for a football player it looks like a bad move/decision all round imo.

to drum up interest? His agent is absolutely desperate for a big move. The Guardian are reporting that City are interested and his agent will have the opinion that he can wrangle a very good pay day for himself here.

There is no need to drum up interest. It’s well known that his contract is up, safc have drawn attention to the fact he’s stalled on it and today’s development will only encourage potential suiters. And maybe that’s what Donald wants.

If a club of Man City’s stature are genuinely interested, then yes both player and agent will make a lot more money than if he had re-signed for us. That’s life. Going to sky wouldn’t have any impact though. City or anyone else would easily be able to get hold of the agent re a summer transfer or safc if they wanted to buy now.

Only an opinion chill ya tits

exactly. It won't be forthcoming but Maja doesn't know that does he? Someone he clearly trusts is telling him it'll happen so what reason has Maja got to doubt him?

His agent is scum.

His agent benefits when he moves, Maja's not that thick......but off he goes, bye, bye
