Tough one, bit of a piss take asking for the fans commitment to supporting him when he wants to bail out at such a crucial time in the season.

For me, if he chooses to go after all the effort and investment in his development from the club then fuck him, we will move on, the days of being held to ransom by players is over.

I tend to always support our players but I know our fanbase and plenty will turn on him, I think he will get booed to fuck by some people.

In an ideal world that would be fab, trouble is allowing him to run down his contract in the summer would leave the club with a worthless player and because he would be out of contract he could demand higher wages for any club making an approach.

What if Maja gets injured for most of the rest of the season and we still manage to get promoted? Theres risk on the players side too...I think both sides want something done this window. Unless the club think Maja will play at the same level and risk injury with his contract running out?

I don’t see how anyone who supports SAFC could be arguing Maja’s side here...

Unless he signs for a club outside England, which is distinctly possible - German clubs in particular are looking at young English players, and seem prepared to play and develop them. If that happens, we'd get £500k at most.

But being promoted ifs surely worth more than £2.5m

If im honest I would want him away asap, dressing rooms dont take much unsettling and the players need to know that everyone is on the same page when they go into battle. Not sure we need a 20 year old kid who has played half a seasons football thinking he is too big for the club in there.
