I would offer him championship money to be honest it’s an investment good potentially sell him to some idiot if he we go up and he has a good half a season in the championship for a good amount of money.
I have no idea what that (let's for the sake of argument, call it a sentence) means. If your point is 'offer him a decent wedge, keep him and he'll be playing in the Championship, next season, with us', then, I agree.

Deadline today is waste of everyone’s print, including the clubs. He won’t sign, and he won’t be sold. In the summer if we get promoted he might stay, if he doesnt we will get decent tribunal money anyway and his goals will (hopefully) see us promoted. Can’t see this ending any other way..unless a spectacularly stupid offer comes in. Club won’t sell for 3m as trivunzl fee will approach that. And clubs won’t pay more than that as too much risk with little time on contract left. All this equals no move and carry on as we are till summer. What happens then is anyone’s guess.

Wouldnt play out well in dressing room. Also went well last 2 times we've got rid of our top scorer in Jan.

It absolutely doesn't show a lack of commitment. He's been honouring his contract all year & his attitude is excellent
I’m not arsed about the history to be honest, the piss taking etc is exactly why we are where we are today, that’s stopped now.

As for his commitment, I’m not convinced by that at all, he’s scoring goals, he has a natural talent, the rest of his game and some of his commitment in the challenge is questionable. His goal tally is blinding everyone.

And Stewart Donald does not like uncertainties let alone guesses. As Ross has said many times he likes clarity or to put it another way he likes to know where he stands. If he knows Maja is going he can manage that situation if he doesn’t know he can’t. Hence the deadline, once that’s passed we work on the basis he’s going.

Oh the “he only scores goals” arguement, to be fair it’s taken a while to surface

We don't have to sell him though?
