Who are we selling him to? What are the clubs we are actively seeking out to sell him to? What asking price did we put out there for him?

Only if these owners are worse than Short and I can’t see that being the case...but who knows! This is their first big test...it Doesn’t get easier moving up in leagues. The money is bigger and the effects are 10x’s worse.

Aye I said on here yesterday it’s the biggest decision they have needed to make so far. I wouldn’t blame them if he didn’t sign a new contract (I wouldn’t blame him either). I’ll be absolutely livid though if we sell him.

Maja won't sign a new contract, and he won't leave this season either, just a gut feeling I have. He'll be keeping his options open, maybe he'll sign a new deal if we're promoted?

Unfortunately Maja isn't being allowed ' to keep his options open' The club have given him this timed ultimatum. If he refuses to sign the contract the club won't allow him to see out his current contract. He will be sold to the highest offer, immediately. The club has made this abundantly clear.

I'm starting to think this way now tbh. He's on target for nigh on 30 goals this season and it could well be the difference between top 2 and not. The only concern would be if he was putting it in when sure of being away.

Seems like he’s got a good attitude though. That new coach that started only a month ago ya already been praising him. He was saying Maja stays behind after training and just keeps shooting at an open net because everyone has gone home, begging him to find someone who will go in goal. It’s not the actions of someone who will just stop any effort if he’s getting a move. He might even already have one lined up.

I thought his celebration was different at Blackpool as well. Seemed to smile and nod to the crowd in a sort of salute after the arms crossed big. Haven’t noticed him do that before. Might just be reading way too much into it like.

I was told at Blackpool the final offer was 18k a week and he had turned it down, this was from someone who knows people in the club. Take it as you wish, think its stsill a decent wage for a kid but who knows

Bollocks there's no way they've offered him£18,000 a week. (that's Championship wages) He l have been offered approx £10,000 a week

Link please?

PLAYING FOR SAFC IS the best wages regardless of the amount.

Which would be the wrong thing to do.

Act by doing what? If we sell him now we need to use the cash from him to replace him to sign someone who might score, might settle, might have a good attitude. If we keep him until the summer we have a player who is scoring almost every game and still get some money back from a tribunal so the difference would be very little after having to buy a replacement.

I don’t really blame him for wanting to wait until the summer to decide what he wants to do, presuming that is what he is doing.

Absolute bollocks there's no chance whatsoever that we would get his market value at a tribunal. The owner has said at tribunal we would only be looking at £100,000 or £150,000 if we re lucky.

I didn’t say we would get his market value at tribunal.

Link to where the club have made it abundantly clear he will be sold immediately to the highest bidder?

Ironically, every comment you make seems to start with you telling other people what they are saying is ‘absolute bollocks’ before going on to guess things and pass it off as fact.

Nor do you seem to be able to read either. It’s late. Get to bed.

What? How would I know?

On about fans suggesting we would need to sell him if he doesn't sign a new deal, we don't

Not if Maja doesn't agree a deal with the new club. That's not how this works.

All the club could do is bin him in the reserves, and try to convince him to go.

Deadline means nothing. It's just posturing by the club. What are they gonna do if he doesn't sign? Listen to offers? They already said everyone has their price. Utter nonsense - all of it.

Pretty much. In theory, they could pull the contract offer, but that would be ludicrous unless (or even if) they have a ready made replacement they spend that earmarked money on. They obviously don't and won't.

Small point. ..the club can't just sell him. He's under contract and free in 6 months so in reality club have no say in where he goes or if it's now or summer.

Correction. .thet do have a day on whether he stays till summer but their comments indicate they are not considering this which for me is disappointing. ..unless we get an unbelievable few now.

Sorry about predictive text in previous post. ..don't know how offer changes to few like.

He won’t be sold to the highest bidder, he will only be sold to a team where Maja wants to go to. We have seen it happen in the past, snidey Agents telling clubs to bid lower and give them a higher signing on fee

Not sure about that when u consider a tribunal set higher fees than that for each of Lawrence whitehead and Elliott when we signed them almost 20 years ago
