It’s amazing how many mags believe it to be a nothing game yet are all over this thread this morning

Just accept it lads, any game involving SAFC and you fuckers means more than any other, even more than when you play rivals like Man Utd.

Last post last night at 11.25 and first post this morning at 4.32 :lol::lol::lol:

Brilliant!

We are in league 1 because we deserve to be. Your 1st team are 2 leagues above us, no getting away from it.
To be honest I'm surprised at how excited most mags seem for this. I'm guessing micheal Martin has his 1st hard on since he got banned from pets at home.

It's a shite state of affairs but I hope we twat your under 21s and you all have a miserable night, proper derby or not.

I’ve said on here recently that I didn’t think we’d sell as many so I’m suprised also.
It looks like the lure of a golden piss take is too good an opportunity to miss.
It’s not for me, it would have been at one point but those days are gone.
Regardless of the result, Hopefully 90 minutes of harmless piss taking doesn’t get out of hand.

It probably did take longer to sell for Old Trafford and Anfield. The fact this game is much cheaper and 30 minutes on the Metro might have something to do with it?

Hope we do not smash seats nor cause trouble. Obviously if there is bother it will all be instigated by the nasty Newcastle fans. Any opposition caught up in trouble surely innocent victims?

What about the 1100 fans you got to your last Checkatrade game? Much closer and cheaper. Why less interest in that?

It’s got the potential to be one of your most embarrassing defeats of all time tbf, I can see why it’s selling quick at our end.

Personally it’s not for me but I can see the logic.

Don't remember anyone being embarrassed that we only drew with Stoke u21s mind.

Of course travelling fans are going to be up for it. Your first team has to play our kids, which if you’re that way inclined, presents a great opportunity to full on take the piss.

Regardless of that, I’ve no idea how it can be classed as a derby when it’s not a first team game.

It won't be like but you lot kid yourselves into thinking it is anyway

I’ve no idea who you play in this cup, I only know it’s your first teams competition. It makes no odds to Newcastle who plays as it’s a win win situation for us.
It’s an awful predicament for Jack Ross, if he plays a weakened team and gets beat he has the burden of one of the most embarrassing defeats in your history in his CV.
He’ll very rightly be concentrating on getting out if the division and keeping fit but this is a game he simply can not afford to lose.

Not in the slightest, his main task is promotion. He wouldn't be arsed about saving face because a few Chavas from Benwell will have a laugh at our expense.
It'll be interesting to see which two first team players you have in your starting 11

We've had a decently strong 11 for each of the games so far, so don't see why we wont do the same. IIRC, we can only make a maximum of five changes to the starting 11, compared to our previous league game.

How can it be a derby though when it’s not our first team ? I’ve never even heard of the manager !!

Jack Ross has managed in Scotland as well as Sunderland tbf, he might not be a household name but you should have heard of him by now imo.

Aye, it’s not as if you’ve got history for stuff like that is it? Did your lot not smash seats recently at the SoL in another meaningless game?

Yes we did. I assume your behaviour is beyond reproach when at our place?

That game was not against Sunderland.

Because it is a team representing SAFC against a team representing NUFC.

Yes my behaviour at football matches is beyond reproach, then again I’m not the one who is saying the shit you are.

Can you remind me when any Sunderland fans smashed seats etc at your place in a meaningless game?

Most embarrassing defeats in our history? You complete knacker, the six in a row has absolutely shot you to bits for the rest of your days :lol::lol:

The fact it was meaningless is not really the point. Your supporters have caused damage to St James when there. Correct?

Sandwiched between Man U and Chelsea, the bloke who runs the reserves hasn’t a cat in hells chance of Rafa giving him anybody half decent.

Never knew that.

Name me a more embarrassing defeat you have had ?

You’re clearly missing the point, you’re banging on about how our fans will be caught up in any trouble innocently.

Fancy going to a kids game and smashing seats and causing bother man, it’s embarrassing and no doubt that element will do it again, was there any damage to your place when the kids played a few weeks ago? This is relevant to your argument.
