It also has (probably) the best Indian restaurant (on floor ???) in all of Bangkok - The Rang Mahal..

I never tried it mate, I was only there for a few nights, my first in Thailand so we went out for street food.

Had a beer in the roof top bar where you have to walk through the restaurant to get outside, looked decent enough

Sure it's the 26th floor, as my room was on 22 and it wasn't much higher

I think you must have meant walk past the entrance to the restaurant, not through it.

I've been there a few times and think the food is excellent- not cheap but not OTT either.

A nice place to go for a relaxing meal.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn, 971 Phloen Chit Rd. We arrived at 2.00am and we had a reservation through Airmiles that they couldn't find any reference to. The hotel was more or less fully booked but they sorted out a 2-room Suite for us to stay in at no extra charge. Fabulous service and a really nice hotel. Handy for Lumpini Park as well.

Yeah, that's what I meant, lovely views from the roof terrace

Yeah I've stayed there before. Was spot on. I'm sure you've posted about staying somewhere else in Thailand that id also stayed at. In bophut?

I stopped at the Anantara Bohput next to Fishermans Village, beautiful hotel.....would recommend this to anyone

Bangkok Hilton, must be good, they made a tv miniseries about it, if its good enough for Nicole Kidman, should be bang to rights for you.;)

Haha, it was lovely, it was my first time in Thailand, can't wait to go back....

Loved Coco Tams as well, most chilled out bar I've ever been to, could sit there all day and night
Had to look it up as didn't know that bar by name but yeah went there two or three times. Absolutely brilliant part of going to thailand is chilling on the beach with a couple chilled drinks. Absolute bliss.

Next door to coco piss !!?? Not cheap for Thailand though. I liked the street markets in the fisherman’s village with the be caravettes as bars. They are cheap. Also , the hut restaurant at the end of the village is superb and good value.

we've stayed here a couple of times. it's on the opposite side of the river to the majority of the hotels and attractions. great hotel and superb pool, a little more laid back than most bangkok hotels due to the location. haven't been for a few years though.
