Checkatrade trophy 3rd round draw

I reckon around 25 k that will include 3k mags.
They will take all take all the tickets they can get. I hadn't planned to go to any Checkertrade games, including any possible final, but thinking we might need to turn up for this one.
Not having the Mags taking the piss on any level.

Might be good crack if we can absolutely hammer them.

Of course shouting at shops is more embarrassing, in not saying it isn’t, but that’s not the point here.
My point, wether some may agree or not, is that in my opinion having to sit in your own ground watching your first team have to play our kids is not where Sunderland should be. It’s embarrassing ( and that’s for want of a better word ) because Sunderland is a big club, with big history and a long rivalry with Newcastle United, you’re now at the level of playing our kids.
We sit in our ground watching every first team game regardless, so do yous.

I’ts never been my point if people are bothered about this game or not. The majority it seems, like myself think it’s a non event.
My only point? Is that it’s a brutal reminder for the home fans as to the current gap between the two clubs. It’s completaly factual in truth.

Eh. The gap is about 3 points between us being in the same division next year.

We're enjoying winning pretty much every game we play, and this will be a fun if not silly victory.

Im not sure how many people actually care about the obvious gap between our clubs. We know where we are and are how we got here. We are having a good season and enjoying the new regime.

I don’t think there are many if any on this board that aren’t fully aware of where we are and how we got here.
I’m not embarrassed by that in any way as I had no control over it. The game against you does not make our position any more obvious. We will play whoever and whatever is put in front of us. We will not dwell in the past and ask ourselves what if. We will play each game as it comes and not think we are better than we are because of what we’ve been historically, that accomplishes nothing and won’t get us where we need to be. What it may serve to do is remind the lads that play for us what is achievable if they give their best. Is it a derby? It’s sunderland v Newcastle. I want to beat you again. I always do regardless of the circumstances. I will enjoy it if we win, as will any supporter from either side of the divide. Anyone that says different is afraid of the result or maybe not as into footy as I am.

100% lets just hammer the bastards

Did you lot not rip up seats last time our youth teams played?

That is what i referring to. That was a game with a sparse crowd where a group of idiot kids were free to behave that way.

This will, i believe, be totally different.

With a 20k crowd would the same individuals have gotten away with acting in the way they did?

More pertinent would have even tried?

They're gunna come down in numbers. If they beat us it'll be a derby game.

Best outcome is to absolute hammer them, and outsing and goad them to buggary.

If away fans are allowed to travel, their allocation will be limited

Charge them £50 if they are that desperate to visit a third division team.

If a full police operation is implemented, ticket prices are likely to be around £20-25

You must admit it would be a talking point if our u21's beat your main team. Imagine if it was the other way around.

It won't happen, it will be a total none event.
The reality of the situation is that we have played our kids and reserves all the way through this tournament and our side will be full of the products of our academy. No doubt your lot will be full of kids, with reserves and anyone returning from injury just like us.

Yes we are separated by the Championship, but will probably both be in that league in a few months anyway. I wouldn't normally attend a Mickey Mouse competition but come the day everyone will have their red and white / black and white glasses on and im looking forward to this. I can see a crowd close to 40,000 for this one.
