people need to do bit research when choosing their dogs

these dogs like to dominate and be pack leader , they become increasing frustrated if not using up their energy and they like cold climate (not central heating on)
This, lost count how many of these type dogs, huskys etc go absolutely mental with other dogs. If they ever get off lead a lot would savage the other digs. I used to believe a lot was down to owners which still is the case but some breeds are just not suited to pets being stuck in houses and in crowds of other dogs.

no idea, I only supplied the figures for dogs who bite people leading to personal injury claims

Labradors are the worst dogs for biting and responsible for most injury claims | Daily Mail Online
Firstly, I’m very disappointed in you Flicky. The Daily Heil....

Secondly, a friend of mine is a postie and he had his bollocks bit by a dog when he was delivering mail once, and he got thousands for it. I’m pretty sure he now walks around with pedigree chum in his boxers cos he’s skint again.

when they start banning dogs that regularly bite and kill people (like staffys) then you might have an argument.

@PhilSAFC

Which way should I go Phil, Tennant only, Hybrid or On-Premise?

That's his fault for hoying his bollocks through the letterbox surely?

Beautiful looking dogs, but the size of them you can tell they would do some damage and shouldn't be used as a house dog unless the owners are experienced in handling big dogs

I grew up with 2 German Shepherds but think even an Akita is too big and strong to be able to 100% control
This. I have always said man against dog in a one on one the man should always come out on top if (if ) he keeps his bottle, all the dog has is teeth.. With an akita and other mastiff breeds I'm not so sure, the weight and mass of the animal makes it about evens in a strength contest...and they're double hard bastards that don't pack in with broken bones.

It’s simply wrong saying breeds such as Akita’s and staffys are as safe as something like a Labrador.....they simply aren’t.

But, with the right training and owners who properly look after the dog and understand their mentality; staffys and Akita’s will make great pets.

Unfortunately these breeds are also the scratters choice which doesn’t help.
