Akitas

There are no bad dogs, just bad owners

True to some extent but some dogs regardless of their upbringing are just little shits.

I've had 4 dogs, 3 have been brilliant and took to training well and were never any trouble but one was terrible and just a nightmare. Would go berserk whenever someone came to the door and couldn't be trusted around small kids and had to be kept on a leash at all times.

I've got one. Shes 4yr old and soft as shite plus she gets on well with other dogs. She's walked regular and only heard her bark twice in the whole time we've had her.

Husky’s are kept on the lead because they are known to bolt, nout to do with them being aggressive. I’m not entering into the staff debate, anyone who says they are a bad Dog frankly hasn’t got a clue what they are talking about.

My dog has been attacked by both.

I'd rather have a staffy, Akita or rotty than a Labrador any day.

Been bitten twice by dogs, both labradors, one was me friends when I was a kid and he just turned on me. Another when I was working as a waitress carried a tray past a table and it jumped up and nipped me. It jumped up at one of the other girls and when the owner was spoken to by the manager you could tell it had done it before as she was shitting it that I would report it.

Next door have one and it barks at everything and snarls at people walking past and has jumped at my partner and it caught and ripped his clothes. Hate the things

I’m sorry to hear that but labelling entire breeds as dangerous Dog’s because of that is unfair to be honest.

And on many an occasion I have had to pick my dog up mainly because of staffies going for him and no, the owner hasn’t been a tattooed looking skinhead but no different than any one else. Once bitten.....

You’ve been unfortunate then, I see staffies regularly when I take the Dog out and not once have they went for mine to be honest. In fact other Dogs very rarely if ever go for mine, if it’s a regular occurrence is your Dog not instigating it?

It’s a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. So that’s a big no then.

My neighbour bought a staffie cross and regularly walks with me when I’m out on the field with my Shih Tzu. I was actually arghhh when she first brought him out as he is big, muscular and quite frankly looks ferocious. He’s the softest, most placid, friendly dog, my girl loves him. I don’t know if his nature is down to the people who own him but that lad is loved to bits and it shows I think.

Breed hasn’t got anything to do with it even spaniels can be nightmares if poorly socialised.
