Roughest pub in sunderland

So do I , worked on pallion trading estate in the 80's used to go to those two on a lunch time :)
I used to work in the pallion residents building in the gym back in the 80s.

Thursday night used to be a darts and Doms handicap night in the pallion inn, then leg it up to the Jov for last orders

Went in the Round Robin once when I was 18, was a bit like one of those westerns.
It’s a Herons shop these days. Passed there today

I seem to recall The Duck and Kangaroo was not for the faint of heart, there's no real rough pubs any more, the last time I felt threatened in a Pub was in The Bush - it involved a mad bastard of a mate, cocaine, Hells Angles and a very bad natured game of pool

I was in a Pub around Atlantic Quay the other night, rough and ready but not a hint of trouble

was a protracted argument?

The Gleneagles is another place I'd never venture in. Think I'd know a few of the regulars from my Pennywell days and we weren’t exactly friends.

I went in The Jolly Potters about 15 years ago and that was full of a few of the big lads from my youth. I didn't have a problem with knowing most of 'em, but can imagine it would be fairly intimidating for a stranger.
Was in The Gleneagles about six months ago and The Potter's similarly. Both places are fine if you're known to the regulars.

Nowt wrong with the Tram Car mind... Always thought the pub on the corner that's now a Londis was rougher...
Drank in the Sun Inn for a few years before it closed saw a big fight in there one night involving a one armed man wielding a bar stool but that was the only fight I saw.

Last time I was in the Sun Inn (thanks for reminding me of the name of the place) I was out on the piss with my old man... Went to the gents and there was a blue bottle in there, it was so big that it mugged me and took my wallet and told me to get the fuck out. Never went back to the pub after that... I was too scared.

filthy, minging place it was.
