Who would blame him if he did?

Why would the crowd turn on Rafa? He is being asked to manage a club wearing a blindfold, ankle hobbles and both hands tied behind his back. Give their due, but the average supporter knows exactly where the blame lies.

I’ve said for ages I’m not sure what would be best.
Him being sacked and watching the meltdown, or him staying, taking them down, and watching the gradual dawning that actually he wasn’t great, while they struggle not to backtrack and call him

Very interesting that the last time that club experienced such a winless streak in the top flight (9 games) in 1888/89, the team was similarly selected by committee.
'From 1892-1929, the team was selected by a committee. It was represented by Frank Watt, who was appointed the club's secretary in 1895'.
You would have thought that Ashley and Charnley would avoid similar criticism by allowing the manager to manage :lol:
