Ashley has him by the short and curleys contract wise.
Rafa has Ashley’s bent over backwards with the results, come January it will be too late and the only players available will be high paid cast offs as we have discovered.
Rafa walks away as the hero he is, only Shearer could be a bigger hero and get them relegated.

Teflon Benitez

Rafa tactical genius they worked hard for that bottom spot, could be a lot worse if they never had him at the helm

If it wasn’t for the time wasting from Brighton and the missed chances (and also the goal Brighton a scored) that was a tactical masterclass from Rafa..... Another one.

I didn’t see the game but word is that Ashley got the final touch on Brighton’s goal..... fat Geordie hating kernt

The really bizarre thing is that a lot of their fans would genuinely be gutted if another manager came in and improved them

Like Steve Mcclaren? He had them in 19th....... heady heights. He’d also signed some of the best players..... the England internationals like Shelvey :), for which neither Ashley or mcclaren gets the credit for

Twitter is still full of the fuckers laying all the blame at Ashley’s door. I agree to some extent he carries a fair share of blame but Rafa is having a f***ing mare this season and the players simply ain’t playing for him.
