Allardyce is a massively underrated manager and hasn't got the big gigs due to his demeanour and Britishness IMO. Wherever he's gone he's done everything that's been required of him.
 
I think a lot of Newcastle fans have had a reality check in the last couple of years. A team in their position should be grateful having a manager like Benitez

We're having a much harder reality check mind

I was thinking the same. They share the same ethos.
 
Allardyce played losing long ball and set a record for not scoring at the start of a season, the record being beaten by Palace this season.
 
Nowt wrong with the way the waiter sets his team up. He's always done it and it's effective. He manages the details really well.

Awful to watch but so what? It's true that Big Sam was similarly pragmatic, but then again he wasn't seen as a Messiah.

The waiter could do anything there and it would be okay.

How the fuck was it almost as bad as Moyes? His remit was to keep us up, he did it. Moyes picked up 24 points or whatever it was over a full season!
