Not really Pf but certainly relevant, strong rumours that Johnston press will be going into administration in the next 24 hours.

Nor what it used to be but it will be sad to see it go if it does.

There will be a buyer lined up after the administration has enabled them to dump their massive pension deficit onto the tax payer

Was the football echo, the pink?
Or was that a different football paper.
It was pink and I remember it been green, there was a reason for this, I think it was the first time we were relegated then changed it back to pink when we were promoted.
It was called the Football Echo or more commonly the Footie Echo

Used to love waiting outside the paper shop for the footie echo when we had won:D
Seeing the little "football man logo" in happy mode on the headline:cool:
At times I do wonder if "instant" reporting on here is an improvement, especially when the bed wetters are in full flow:lol:
Sad news , when I was a bairn every house in our street got the echo every night and the footie echo on a Sarrada :(

Loved the Football Echo.

When I was a bairn, my Mam would bath me and get me ready for bed while Dad walked to the shop to get the footy echo. Then he'd read the match reports to me instead of a bedtime story.

I took voluntary redundancy from Johnston Press (in Glasgow) in 2010 - the writing was on the wall then due to chronic mismanagement. Very sad if this is true, but it would be no surprise.

Please tell me these people own the chronicle also, imagine having to actually reading that site for safc news daily
