I personally wouldn’t lease.
I’d rather go the HP route.
Whether you go 4K or use that as a deposit towards something.
Just get the lease if you can afford it. New cars are class and hassle free motoring, well usually.

Don’t understand how you pay 350 and it smashes the tax code
It’s £350 a month though, what would you use that money for? Money down the drain if it’s leased.did think of using it as a deposit
that's the tempting bit to be honest a new car and very little hassle
its classed as benefit in kind as its through work so more like a company car really so I pay more tax for it
It really isn’t a benefit in kind at all if you have to pay 350 of your own money to drive one of those
What’s the mileage “cap” on a lease car? Arnt the mileage charges paid over quite a small mileage? I heard some are as low as 5k
I'd be frightened to use itthat's what it is classed as though
you can choose the mileage and the price goes up or down accordingly

need something a bit bigger got 2 little ones a teenager and another one on the horizon haha .... do you know any cheap mini buses ?I went second hand when faced with this dilemma. Picked up a right bargain, got an 08 Fiesta for £1800, 35k on the clock. Just had it’s timing belt done and sailed through it’s MOT.
Must be a very expensive company car if its costing you 350 a month in real money terms even your a 40% tax payerSo what is peoples opinion ?
New lease car from work meaning a very low tax code and paying £350 from my wage each month but a nice new shiny car that is covered for any break downs, tyres etc
or
Pay about £2500-£3000 for a second hand car and have all own maintanence and insurance to pay for but would be better off each month by about £350
opinions welcome even stupid ones
