We've missed this lad big time since his suspension. It's a definite yes from me, straight back in .

Was a decent quote from Klopp last couple weeks regarding Henderson basically saying ‘yes he’s club captain but that doesn’t mean he is guaranteed to play, he must perform alongside his captaincy responsibilities like anyone else’

Thought was spot on really and even though I get Honeyman had a better game Saturday and actively more involved he shouldn’t be unable to be dropped. I think Power will be on bench Saturday unless injuries say otherwise

I think Ross will put him straight back in.
He knows the midfield is stronger with him in it and that is the bottom line.
A pragmatist is wor Jack.

Ross said exactly the same thing about Honeyman on Thursday’s Talksport. He’s in the team cos Ross thinks he’s doing well, not just because he’s captain.

No. We build a culture of "win and stay in" (unless you were actual shit) . Wouldn't be shy of subbing him on sharp for anyone not working though.
Catts playing well mcgeouch needs game time to settle, Honeyman a fixture due to the captaincy, Gooch scored two, mcguire man of the match. We're full, don't get sent off again it's not so easy to get back in.
This, Ross has said this previously

Would be surprising to change a winning team.

On the bench to threaten any midfielder who doesn't perform that they will be subbed.

We were shit in the games leading up to his suspension and in the game he got sent off. He was as bad as anyone in those games so we haven't missed him that much.
Having said that he should probably start ahead of McGeoch who has been poor up to now, but then maybe McGeoch needs the games to get him to the level of player we thought we were buying in the first place so who knows.
One thing I believe is you shouldn't change a winning team unless it's forced and we won our last game pretty convincingly so he's on the bench until someone is shit, we are getting beat or someone gets injured I reckon

Didn't win our last away game,Power imporant on the road.

Straight in for McGeough, who hasn't impressed so far

Power will have to wait imho, all played like they were playing for their places on Saturday, can't drop anyone from that

I thought he looked quite tidy on Saturday, grew into the game and has that rare attribute of being comfortable in possession.

I don't disagree but he has to do more than that. Honeyman is offering far more than him at the moment. Yes, Honeyman makes more mistakes than him but that's because he does more.

And I haven't seen Honeyman bottle a challenge like McGeoch did on Saturday - the one where Cattermole cleaned it up by sticking his head in where McGeoch wouldn't put his foot.

Power for McGeoch.

He has offered nothing so far.
This.

He played a few horrendous passes on Saturday I thought. And even his passes he did make were quite poor. There was one early in the first half where he had the opportunity to play a nice ball in ahead of (I think it was) Flanagan, and the lad would have been away down the wing. Instead he hesitated and took touch or two more and played a crap ball into his feet meaning Flanagan had to stop his run. I don't know if it was a lack of vision or a lack of courage to play a better ball sooner but it was poor.

McGeouch is a player to bring on when the team is winning to ease the pressure by keeping the ball with ease, but he can’t create many chances.
