Are you getting the vehicle on HP, cash purchase, PCP?

How long are you planning on keeping the car?

What is the difference in cost between purchase / rental?

Weigh these things up when considering whether to go rental or purchase.

I doubt I'll have it in 7 years! The technology will have probably moved on miles anyway, cracking deal though

Had a look around me for somewhere to charge it and found out this was a non starter.

I doubt the batteries will last longer than 4 years before they start dropping from 20% charge to empty in five mins , just like my mobile phone did. Luckily a new battery was only £15 - a tad more for a car!

Plug in hybrid is the way forward at the minute. Step dad has a Passat gate and gets around 900 mile to the tank.

Depends what you do, Mrs drives around the doors & we have my car to do long journeys, looked at all the pros & cons & it looks ideal, no need for a hybrid
