Mill House pub

That’s ok mate I forgive you. I’ve now found out it’s the overrated pub up by the bows incline- where everyone drink drives.

Aye that's the one. TBF I used to have a pint after work nearly every night when it was a proper shit-hole. I was in there once and it was full of Rangers fans on the way to Gary Bennetts testimonial and they give me a ticket which was champion, what wasn't champion was me getting sussed in the clockstand paddock and having to make a break for the Fulwell...

I’m trying to remember when it all got gentrified, 2000ish?

Probably round then. I drank there from about 92 to 96, used to park my car there on a morning and it meant if we had a sharp finish I could get dropped off there in the works van and we didn't have to go back to the depot. We would have a pint until knock-off time (jobs would come in via pager )

what about yer proper cush you like hew
Thats another mag saying ,when they are proper radged they say “double Cush “

I work on various sites these days, and can confirm i have heard people from Sunderland use the word lush, many times.
if I ever hear anyone on my sites saying lush (who’s from Sunderland ) I’ll punch them all owa.

It’s got to be young kids or summit who watch Geordie shore and wear 11deg clothing .

I’m being serious mind ,never heard a Mackem say that and actually mean it .

realy?

plenty do, and not kids, trust me.

Hardly likely to do it during the day in front of the staff are they? And also endangering customers lives?
What a load of shite.
you can see why someone *might* think like that, however the logic of the circumstances blows that theory out the window...

telling the chroncile that cardboard boxes in the kitchen caught light hardle helps an insurance 'job' either...
