I'd rather that half-wit didn't waste money and any allegations of corruption was investigated by the appropriate authority (which it did, but Len didn't get the answer he was looking for).

Len's timeline has gone down the route of accusing anyone who has investigated and found no allegations of corruption to be corrupt too. Opposition councillors, Local MP's, Government Ombudsman, Northumbria police, P&C Commissioner, all corrupt cos they didn't agree with the Loop. Most some conspiracy to keep all those onside.

I believe due to the belligerent, persistent and astonishingly stupid FOI requests he submits he can no longer get them answered by the council due to the time and effort it was costing them. Basically to answer the same couple of questions over and over phrased slightly differently.

to be fair, the council have been quite tolerant with him with respect to his FOIA requests.

I’d have shut his vexatious requests down under section 14 a long time ago.

They’re making assessments based on his behaviour and actions. Seems fair enough to me

And he seems to have abused that act as the council now treat his requests as vexatious under that very same act

FOIs are one thing but vexatious ones just bog people down.

Every FOI means more resource allocated to handling them and less to running the council.

FOI is a good thing, but it’s wide open to abuse by morons with an agenda.

That's a ridiculous and completely redundant argument of the kind that underpins a totalitarian system of government. By your logic we should revoke the rigtht to free legal representation for example purely because of the amount wasted representing career criminals and the obviously guilty. No. Keep all forms of government accountable at every level, make their lives incredibly hard ensuring they keep their house in order and we all benefit.

I agree councillors should be held to account and a part of that is via the ballot box. However, this idiot breeds the feeling that ALL councillors are only in it for themselves and looking to make a quick buck. I know from past experience this isn't the case the majority of the time, especially at a local level. Most go into it for altruistic reasons. Idiots like Lowther would make anyone think twice before putting themselves forward for public office.

Isn't it just. No doubt this plonker thinks posting pictures of Councillors sitting in a pub and all of Len's mates piling in with abuse about his appearance is fair game. As his life needs to be made incredibly hard.
