I thought the fire stick was vastly underpowered
I'm using a formular z7+ atm, and it is quality tbf :cool:
and I upgraded from a vu duo 2 (about 6 weeks ago) which was 350 quid when I bought it, this little thing is WAY better :(

How does the live pause resume and the record a channel whilst watching another perform ?
 
I've the h96+ pro and mecool bb2 pro and both are canny, beelink gt1 is my backup - paid 40quid or less for each in flash sales on gearbest and banggood

the live, pause, record etc works brilliant mate. however you can't record one channel and watch another at the same time, but for the price of the box, it's a small price to pay.....
(the record, pause carry on was crap on the vu ttbh)

am tempted :cool: , only 2gb ram is putting me off , am currently running kodi/plex on a mini PC with 8gb ram , I dont want to end up with slow scrolling thru channel lists or movie widgets.

fair enough mate. it all seems pretty seemless to me when using it mind....
and I like my techno stuff TBF
epg seems to have no probs, so I don't have any issues with it at all ;)

This, the daddy of all boxes at present. Will set you back close to 200 notes like, i have a couple and they are great, even better if you want to use it for gaming too. If you arnt then i would recommend the xiaomi mi box. It is one of the very few boxes officially licenced by youtube and netflix for 4k content. I personaly think it is a cracking box can be had for 45quid if i want to wait a week or two from gearbest. Iv tried the m8s pro which is a decent shout too but for me the xiaomi edges it if the shield is too much.

As said, the z7 formular is the iptv box to go for if its standalone iptv your after. The mytv app they have is flawless.

The z7 is best iv messed around with for iptv. Better than the shield as the addon they use mytv is dedicated to the formuler box. Other addons like kodi etc i found clunky and just not rite on it. In an ideal world a z7 should acompany a decent kodi device, its not much kop for kodi alone.

The vu duo is more of a sat box imo. Enigma 2 i found was a pain to set up for iptv and never seemed to run rite.

yeah spot on mate, it worked well till I went over to iptv, then cause the hard disk was constantly going doo'lally ! I bit the bullet and got a android box

Don't be silly!

Clearly you're not clued up with Linux....I have a Duo 2 and have done allsorts to it, brilliant.

Get the 256 with wifi dongle or not depending if you're hard wiring it or wifi.
