Don't believe that.
Surely media outlets should only be reporting on what has been said in court and not claiming "definites" that exist only as accusations or one side of a story.
There surely must be links to this great media smear led by BBC and ITV.
You’re right obviously but this case shouldn’t have gone to court ,
this type of thing happens in Sunderland and Newcastle numerous times every Saturday night ,
I assume it’s the same all over the country,
I say Sunderland and Newcastle because I’ve worked them in the past
Was there actually any positive slant towards stokes available to use during the trial?Don't know about ITV or newspapers as I don't read them, but throughout the trial the headlines on the BBC news page were all negatively slanted against Stokes. Basically their headlines were all based on comments from the prosecution lawyer or the doorman, which were extremely negative toward Stokes. No headlines were based on comments from Stokes's team. That doesn't constitute a fair and balanced media perspective as far I'm concerned.
FWIW I'm gobsmacked both he and Ali were found not guilty.
He's been found not guilty. If the ECB ban him now (not forgetting his suspension in the winter) it would be completely farcical. He wasn't breaking curfew, he was allowed out for a few drink then got into a scuffle with a couple of knobheads. The court of the land says he hasn't done anything wrong.Ban him if they must for next three Tests at home where we don't need him. Bring him back for the winter
Some folk on here are seething
Some folk on here are buzzing their tits off which is even more bizarre.
Yes mate. You mentioned it earlier.

The quotes are there to indicate what was said in court. There is no media campaign against Ben Stokes.Logon or register to see this image

Conveniently no headline about the bouncer who was telling fibs or about the 2 lads waving metal poles/bottles about
So why no headline about the lads waving bottles and metal poles? Why no headline that someone was found to be a proven liar in this case? All very convenient from the bbc.The quotes are there to indicate what was said in court. There is no media campaign against Ben Stokes.
