They were 200 plus ahead with bad weather

I think fans would make that declaration but international captains try not to factor the weather in so much. What if it didn't rain? What if they batted well second time around and left us a small target in tricky conditions. All very unlikely but captains always take the safest option. They would rather fail to win a game they should have than give the tiniest chance of losing a game they have dominated by declaring.

That's nonsense like. It was defensive by Root's standards before you consider aggressive captains like McCullum.

I presume the coaches think scoreboard pressure will cause India to crumble. The risk is they try to shut up shop.

Having said that

Anyway do you think Woakes can yet be considered one of the top 10 English qualified seamers in the county game? ;)

What a daft post. When I made that comment a few years back he wasn't. He has significantly improved his game and found an extra 15mph of pace.

IIRC I also said he needs to be working with Anderson to learn his trade secrets and this seems to have happened.

India have been awful so far like. Pakistan looked a far better side over here.

Always have done. The difference in conditions between India and England is immense

There isnt one side in test cricket at the minute that i think can win a series away from home. Everyone just lies down and has their bellies tickled.

Why the firk didn't Woakes get the new cherry from the off?

Here comes the rain and ratballs

See that 6 by Sam Curran

Talented lad but f***ing hell, modern cricket is lamentable. Imaging trying [& getting away with] that 20 or 30 years ago.
