I just don't think Whyte is that level. I think he'll be exactly what wilder likes, slow and hittable.

His "style" gave AJ problems and he beat former world champ Parker who took AJ the distance......He was expected to get beat last night and roughed parker up big time......With the results he has got and the quality of opponents he is beating, plus only defeat being to unified champ then there is literally no way he should not be fighting Wilder. If he is not worth a shot then Im not sure who on the heavyweight scene is? Will he win? I think he will drag Wilder into a war, will lean on him, bully him, wrestle him and smash him up. If it goes late then he will get caught with a massive windmill when he is knackered and will get KO'd but honestly think he will give Wilder nightmares as he has a nasty streak a mile wide in him and when he gets hit he just comes back swinging.

What do people make of Haye & Bellew last night?

If you were new to boxing you wouldn't of thought their was any history between them.

Totally professional, created a spectacle out of nothing, banked millions in two fights, are both probably delighted with the pay day and are now back to being blokes who dont give a shit about each other.....Hay was schooled in second fight, there is no longer a rivalry and he knows it, he is like the new lion in a pride who gets spanked then just has to lick the dominant males balls forever more ;)

Some huge KO last night. Allen looked horrendous but then the big right over the top

Chisora getting beat and a big over the top too.

Had Whyte winning by a few rounds TBH, has really matured well. Parker just doesn't have the nasty streak. Leaves it too late again.

And that's his problem, you've got to want to beat anyone who goes in the ring with you and I don't think he's got that nasty streak..

Good post. He's not my favourite person, or fighter, but credit to him. He deserves a shot. He's beat 3 of the top ten ranked fighters. Deserves a nother shot, and is better than he was. He's got balls

Feed him to wilder. Aj would do it easier and quicker in rematch ( emotion will not be there compared to first fight )

Oh and see mickey Garcia won last night not that I seen it with British broadcast ffs

Reading reports looked average.....and that’s at 135lb

Some may disagree with me, but I think Parker is a complete joke

The fact he took that massive left flush from Whyte and got up means he's not a joke. He's young enough t come again and will have learned far more from his last 2 fights than the rest of his career. It was a knife edge last round and he was one decent shot away from winning. He was just too knackered to land it.

Whyte definitely won but that card was a lot more realistic than how Froch and Bellew had it. The commentary was once again absolutely awful, the bias is beyond parody at this point.

Agree like. A British fighter looks a bit shit and scrapes by = learning curve. A British fighter gets beaten and onviously out classed = learning curve. A British fighter wins = must have a title shot next. Old past it British fighter wins = back to his best must have a title shot asap.

It's absolutely ridiculous.

I feel that boxing has been dragged into the reality tv dirt when it comes to build up. More about drawing viewers in than actually disliking each other. The first notable example of this being Mayweather Hatton. Embarrassing as fuck. I'd be surprised if there was any actual bad blood between Haye and Bellew and the two were far too thick to actually 'sell it' the build up was all "youre a bellend" "no YOURE a bellend" "yeah well I'm going to knock you out" "actually it's me that is going to knock you out". I feel Fury is a little too detached from pop culture to fully understand it and cannot actually separate his feelings 100% from the pantomime hence why he is so popular.

whyte deserves a shot at wilder, hope they can work it out as it is the sensible match up. i think wilder would batter him mind. far too easy to hit. think ortiz is slightly better than whyte (but could be persuaded otherwise potentially) and though he came a whisker from losing, wilder knocked him out in the end

He let Whyte impose his physicality too much, but I doubt being knocked down from being nutted by a unit like him left him feeling too clever. He's managed to take both Joshua and Whyte the distance, so definitely not a joke.

Whyte did exactly what he needed to do mind, rough Parker up. Definitely deserves a shot at a world title.

I think Parker’s problem is he’s far too cautious in the ring and he’s scared to take risks. I think he will struggle to come back from this defeat myself.

Fair play to Whyte though. Blokes got heart and is willing to fight anyone. Deserved the win last night! He roughed Parker up from the off and Parker just didn’t have an answer.

Wether Whytes good enough to beat the likes of Wilder I’m not sure but he certainly deserves a shot. He’s definitely got enough to at least trouble the best.

The WBC should of ordered Wilder vs Whyte after Whyte beat Helenius, they didn’t so he fought Browne. It’s criminal that the WBC still didn’t order Whyte vs Wilder after that fight, After last night (I watched but on holiday so in a bar, couldn’t hear the interview but read up on what Whyte said after the fight last night) Whyte is focussing more on getting his title shot off AJ than Wilder which is sensible he’s got more chance a getting in with AJ in April (if he gets through Povetkin) than he has of getting Wilder. Wilder is all talk he’s a f***ing pussy who wants to fight no one and the WBC are to soft to order him into anything serious.
