Undoubtedly it will be, and it will be extremely difficult to stay up. The reckless manner that Ashley runs the club means we will get relegated again, no doubt at all. We have a good manager, but this is our last season with him. I hope he keeps us up, but the standard of the premiership is now ridiculously high, and we look vulnerable.
outside the top 6 any team could finish 7th or 20th, and they will all get relegated at some point in the next 10 years. everton maybe the exception. your squad cost a mid-table amount so should finish about mid table, but could easily be top 8 or bottom 3. the money ALL clubs get from tv makes them all more level. i can easily see burnley and southampton swapping positions this year.

Is he talking about his visit to the toilet?

I still think 2 of the promoted teams plus hudds will be worse

Pivotal season for us.Benitez will be away and if we go down the mood will be toxic but stay up and we would get over it, Ashley just needs to go for himself and us.

Just , personally 14-17th the target again, the squad is the same and others have progressed.

Have they though?

West Ham aside bottom halfs business has been average. Wolves and Fulham will stay up but worse dross than NUFC in the league this year.

Only thing this year is your unlikely to make a good start could build hysteria with the fans if you lose your first winnable home game.

Not really you cant look at it like that, its about the season, its a tough start so anythings a bonus, we know the target is 36-38 points or more, 10th was easy in the end and we earned it,;its the best team play ive seen from us for years .but it will still be a struggle.

people go on about Ashley and net spend but rafa still spends loads I don't get the criticism

We have been desperate for a striker ...nothing, Benitez isnt beyond criticism as we have 5 keepers ffs and yes has dropped some pods but he did that at Liverpool. The bloke got us straight back up and yes was backed but you still have to do it, then got the same squad to 10th, so with that in mind you think his owner would build on that, we arent asking for 100's of millions just buy a quality striker and may be a new left back.Ashley simply wont spend now as he wants rid of it.Its his total lack of ambition that us as fans detest, we have spent £4m in fees ffs this seadon and have to sell to buy.

As did ours when Moyes said we were in a relegation battle before a ball was kicked.
He he got hammered for it. Benitez is apparently being praised for it. Whoever is to blame the last thing players need to see is their manager publically stating they aren’t good enough.
Even if they aren’t

Yes, but Moyes got hammered for it by Sunderland fans only. Quite why, I will never know. The squad was sewage, he knew that they were incapable of staying up. All the football world could see it, yet you hated him for saying it.
