Something about in the initial accounts when proposing to buy the club Donald looked at there was 8m down from Watford for Ndong, but obviously that never materialised. So something was agreed with Short that Short is owed whatever we do get from Ndong + the short fall up to 8m.

didn't hear it exactly, but that's the gist of it.

I rue the day that financial analysis and examination of the club’s business strategy took over from chatter about football on social media. At least when I meet up with mates we talk about tackles, saves, goals and full backs being skinned by a winger and the merits of players. Hopefully next season will produce decent football, excitement on the pitch, a great atmosphere following the lads and the emphasis on football will return here.

Given that Ndong looks one of the most saleable and early out the door - almost certainly. though surely at the same time - they must have planned it anyway, given it's been part of the deal from the off?

He also said there was 20m he would have to pay personally asap for outgoing transfers, much of which we'd asked for time on last season, but which would be more or less covered by incomings later. So sounds like there's allsorts happening initially, that we need more out the door both for wages and transfer fees, but maybe the short term loan will be needed to get us kick started.

It's nothing about gloating, it's just my opinion which I'm entitled to voice.

At the start of every season there is this blind optimism amongst 90% of posters, with anyone offering an alternative viewpoint being called a mag or bedwetter.

Then 10 games into the season when it goes tits up, the 90% turn negative and anyone who remains positive is a 'happy clapper'. That's how it's been on the SMB for nearly 20 years.
