Matt Hughes is a respected journalist on football finances. He doesn’t write for clickbait. I got banned for copy and pasting a full Times article before yet it seems to be ok today!

Whatever... you can’t take control of a football club go through the process and the EFL process and not prove you have the money to run and sustain the club.. he had to do this not say ohh it’s alright I’ll get a loan everything he is adamant we will steer clear from
 
so they're looking for a short term loan. hmm...why? 2 of the 3 of them are millionaires. I assume they don't want to pay the 20m for the outgoing transfers

Doesn’t seem that way mate.

#SAFC hierarchy are exploring possibility of a short-term loan to put the club in 'strongest position possible'. But hopeful it won't come to that.
 
You realise you don't have to take a strong position either way on something IMMEDIATELY right?

Just see how it pans out when more details emerge...

Donald also said there has been loads of people/groups interested in investing in SAFC. He could still sell of 25% of his share for around £8 million if he wanted or even ask for more. The fact he hasn't suggests he has clear plan for the club.

Agents are getting pissed off because they are getting their arses handed to them. Brilliant, and not before time. There was always going to be a backlash and this is just the start of it. Debt is natural for a business. The overwhelming majority of businesses rely on debt to get by.

Even the debt under the previous ownership wasn’t necessarily going to cripple the club.

People need to understand that debt isn’t a bad thing. It’s entirely natural.

I dare say the parachute payments will broadly be ringfenced for monies the club still owe on transfers etc. Whilst the likes of Rodwell and Cattermole are on the books with astronomical wages for a League 1 club, the club will need to obtain money from somewhere to operate on a day to day basis.

Agree with most but the debt from previous owner the way it was compounding would have been catastrophic.

It is to be expected. We are a business with a helluva lot going out compared to what is coming in. However the new owners will have known from day 1 this would be the case and all plans would have built in substantial initial cash flow problems while we have such big earners on the books.
