Anybody here seen Cartel Land? A little bid older than the other ones, but tremendous documentary. It's about the Mexican drug cartels and vigilante gangs on both sides of the border fighting against it. Obviously some very tough scenes to watch (as one would expect with a documentary about the Mexican cartels), but beautifully done. Can't recommend it enough. Can't link the trailer here since I'm new, but it's on YT.

And Flint Town, as others have mentioned, is great too. Best police documentary I've seen I think. Flint Police Chief is badass.

Watched one over the weekend on CERN and the LHC. The science was hardly mentioned. Just followed a few unknown scientists around for a bit. Told you nothin. Real waste of time and opportunity given the access they had.
Could CERN be used as a weapon? That would be my documentary.

if you're into neuroscience
Yeah I am its amazing what can happen in the neuroscience world.

The Keepers - investigating the 1969 unsolved murder of a nun is excellent.

The Long Shot - about a man's defence for murder and its connection with the filming of a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode.

I had watched The Long Shot but I started to watch The Keepers this afternoon and yes it is excellent so far.

Thank you.

The Seven Five - 9/10

The Barkeley Marathons - 8/10

Oklahoma City - 7/10

Icarus - 8/10

The Seven Five was a great watch all the way through, the other three were good as well but not as gripping as the former. Icarus seemed like a drama at times rather than a documentary.

Watched The Seven Five the other night, very good recommendation.

He goes into even more detail on this Joe Rogan podcasst as well -

Good thread this. Watched

The Seven Five
Evil Genius
Oklahoma City

In the last week. All excellent.
Just starting Barkley Marathons now.

Cheers for that - really enjoyed it -can’t believe how close he got to what was going on - including access to meth labs!
Pretty harrowing stuff.
The cartels seem to run some Mexican towns akin to Isis in the Middle East.
